I think this one is worth a thread of its own. How do you know it's a poor recording? Because your system can't play it without some unpleasantness distracting from the music? i have an unusual problem. I have a NAP100 next to my UnitiCute2. When I plug headphones in to the Cute, there is a low, but audible, hiss from the speakers. Removing the interconnects makes no difference. If I turn of the NAP100, the hissing stops. So it seems like some electrical interface that only happens with the headphone switching the sound output modes. Any pearls of wisdom?

Intend to use the Oppo UDP-205 as transport connecting to 272/250DR. As the 272 is single ended (DIN), would it be better to use RCA to RCA instead of the XLR/RCA (Oppo) to DIN on the 272? Thanks.

just curious guys what external power supplies do to amplifier ....lets says the standard amp have 70 watt rating , after you add hi cap etc...will the ampliefier become 80 watt or stay the same ??

A question , would MQA cds be able to be decoded with a N-DAC in the future with a firmware update or is this not possible.

I want to stay with naim k discrete phono sound but the rfi and occasional pops are too much. Op amp phono stages solve all these problems, but I miss the "k" sound. Not interested in S boards. Would using a separate prefix K help, or just be more of the same? Denon 103 is the cartridge. My system is beautifully balanced and I’ve yet to hear a streamer to persuade me away from CD. I also don’t see me unbalancing the system with a 282 or 300. Hi All, Just a quick question, I use my Unitiqute2 as a streamer into Nait5i (fixed AV) and Arivas. (CD5i not getting much use these days and NAS coming soon). I am considering the move from a Uniti 2 to UnitiStar. My Uniti 2 is boosted with a NAP250.2. One dealer suggested I keep the 250.2 but wouldn't I get the sound signature of the 250 rather than the Star or is that all wrong.? Folks, Just getting my chrome bumper stuff running again. Started with the Nait 1 which was perfect until I tried some Linn cable to compare with my old NAC 5 cable. Something went wrong and I lost one channel due to a loose banana plug.
