Hi all, yesterday I took my new ND5XS home,it's an ex demo from my dealer,one year old.Very good deal indeed.This morning I'm trying to connect it to my 282.I first noticed that the bluetooth aerial plug on the real panel of the streamer is not present on the paper manual and also on the one from the Naim site.That was not a problem because I just connected the two aerials,wi-fi and bluetooth,at their place.Maybe my streamer is recent and the manuals are not updated?I went on configuring my...

Hi - I understand that the SL interconnect leads shouldn’t be pushed in fully, but should be pulled out a few mm from the socket because of their special coupelling/isolation design. Is that also true for the SL speaker cable banana pins? I ask because their connection shroud doesn’t seem as flexible as on the SL interconnects. Thanks as always for your input - Bob

The time on my UQ2 is showing as 10:46AM when it should be 11:46AM this morning. I’ve tried using the ‘reset time via the Internet’ option in the setup menu to no avail, also when I try to adjust the time in the settings that doesn’t work either. Any ideas chaps? Thanks

Hello everybody, I've a brand new Atom + Scansonic mb 2.5 installation (2 months old). For a couple of days, I've experienced a sound issue that frightens me (I'm almost crying). I play a track with Tidal, it starts ok and suddenly the sound goes left-right-left-right and all of sudden the sound gets like "deaf" or "muted" (I'm not an english native speaker). I have had a G08.2 in my system for the last 8 years and the laser is finally started showing signs of giving up. Loved the dynamic drive and deep low end that the Meridian brought to the table but I might be willing to try the CD5 XS. They have recently been discontinued and I could pick one up for a very good price with full warranty. MDS was kind enough to invite me round last Friday and I had the pleasure of listening to his setup, again! Naim CDX2 / PS555DR / nDac > 552 > 300 > Focal 1028s. For no real reason? Maybe just to see what it can do? In recent years I've had three intergrateds, each with increasing watts, latest with 200. Just realized I've never 'cranked' any of them, and I live in a house with enough property around that I don't have to worry about offending neighbors. The loudest I've gotten on my notebook PC app is 92-dB and my ears and room tell me that's plenty. I know my amp and speakers can handle more, but I don't bother.

Hi, I thought the DAC V1 was supposed to work with the native UAC2 drivers from Windows 10 Creators Update. With JRiver 24 X64, everything works fine on PCM. DSD via DoP does not work, whatever the software (JRiver, Foobar2000) or laptop. I have to install Naim Drivers. Any help or comment? Thank you.

Thought I would post my thoughts on SL speaker cable that has been bedding in nicely over the last month. I am very much one of the lifestyle demographic than Naim has been targeting, purchased a Muso followed by Uniti Star 12 months later and now getting ‘upgraditis’ for a Nova or Naim separates. I know when Ive used most power amps in the past Ive always left the system powered up pretty much 24/7. Powered the system down when Ive gone away for a few days plus. Very new to Naim products and running very old naim amps. Do people recommend leaving amps powered up or turning off. Cheers Neil

Here's my current arrangement. I have recently added the Fraim, having had two Hutter racks before. I expect that there will be advice to replace the Hutter with Fraim, which no doubt will be advantageous, but I have some short-term questions. A few years back, cryo-treatment for cables (and perhaps other components) was a hot topic here. The heat has waned. Naim never bought into the cryo hype, even with their Super Lumina. AV Options, Naim's only 3rd party authorized restoration center in the US, remains a proponent of cryo's benefits. So for those that bought cryo'd cables or parts, was it money well-spent? Any one still considering cryo as a worthy upgrade?

Hi all, I seriously consider purchasing a PowerIgel. The Naim BeNeLux pricelist does even mention it. However if I go to the Netzleiste website, they also make note of the PowerIgel Plus (probably including Powerlines). This Plus model is not listed on the Naim pricelist here. I made 3 changes to my system simultaneously which resulted in a change in SQ that I can't fully describe other than it just doesn't sound quite as good. Doesn't keep me engaged the way it used to.
