I hope the headline is fairly self-explanatory: How do I use an equalizer with the Nac 202/Nap 200 combo? The equalizer will probably have jack in- and outputs, but I can use din adapters in one end or buy cables with jack in one end and din in the other end.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone on here has seen or bought a pair of these ? Are they exactly the same as the Naim originals ? I don't want to waste £224 on a set if they are not as good or even better than the originals.

Hi just a thought - my 552 has a din to din cable that connects to PS .... the signal cables then leave the PS to power the power amp.......... has anyone tried upgrading this cable - is there a super lumina that can be used to connect????

Hello... I was looking for advice to fix a problem of low level listening just not sparkling. I moved from Cyrus to Naim uni to Nova with a 250DR bi-amping into Kef Blade 2 speakers that fell in love at my dealers. The system at mid to high volumes sounds amazing, but now my girlfriend has moved in I spend more time at lower volumes....around 20 on the Nova.....and the music looses all it's sparkle and interest....is there a fix without changing my blades ? In an effort to avoid upgrading all parts of my system as I journey along the upgrade path, I've taken a somewhat unbalanced approach to date. My system is :- Synology 215j NAS, Mac Mini, DAC-V1 direct to NAP300DR, NACA5, Spendor A9 speakers. Other cabling is standard eg. as supplied in box or certainly not mega expensive. Naim power amps like to see high(ish) inductance and low capacitance speaker cables for stability reasons. This is both known and a recurring theme around here. But what about headphone cables? I have a 3m Cardas headphone cable and ask myself, if it would upset the headphone output of my SN2. Cardas speaker cables present pretty much the worst case scenario for a Naim amp. Is this true for this application, too? Any thoughts or experiences?

Just been re-centering the Superlumina from CDS3 to NAC 252 DIN-to-DIN. Wiggle left to right in order to centre then pull out by about a mil. Amazed at the improvement in musicality, flow, detail and richness resulting. If the Suprlumina has one flaw it is its sensitivity to being set up optimally. Big gains once this is achieved.

Hi so I'm looking to upgrade my speakers and have been looking at the Tannoy XT8f Speakers to pair with my Naim Nait 5Si amplifier using Naim NAC A5 Speaker Cable - I'm currently using B&W 603 s3. Would the Tannoy Xt8f be a good upgrade and match for my Naim Nait 5Si amp? Listen to old & new Rock, groups like Chemical brothers and some new music - so a broad mix of music styles really. my cd5x drawer has, in the last two weeks, become increasingly difficult to open. There seems to be nothing impeding it’s action; no scraping, no noises etc. Never the less, the force required to open and close is significant - I have to hold the case to prevent the whole thing moving! Playback is unaffected. As the transport has been used widely for some time I wonder if anyone has seen anything like this? What is the best course of action? Is it simply ‘a spot of oil’ or something else?...

So when do you think an update or successor to the NAC 272 will be announced? I think it is highly unlikely that Naim will leave the 272 as is as the only streamer without the new streaming platform for very long. Any thoughts?

The quality of amps, preamps, and PSUs are often sited here as primary benefactors to a low noise floor and inky blackness. What role do the speakers themselves play? I ask because Ryan Speakers say their " woofers reproduce music effortlessly from a near silent background allowing the listener to hear details in familiar recordings that might have gone unnoticed previously " Marketing jargon to be sure, but is there any plausible merit to that claim?

HI For context my system is LP12 52-SC active SBLs SNAXO 24- HiCap. 2*250CB all serviced within last year. So my question to all is how loud would you drive your 20year old SBLs. When i crank up the volume to say 3pm I get distortion in the left main driver. I've swapped the channels over on the back of the 52 still the same driver. Swapped the 250's over still same driver. Unplugged the tweeter speaker cable and still distorted; it's not the tweeter. I don't think it's too loud as the right...

Hi all I have a 272 with 555PS. Sounds great, but I no longer need the preamp nor streaming capabilities as I'm using a Townshend Allegri+ for preamp, and Raspberry Pi/Allo Digi1 for streaming/rendering. The 272 is just acting as DAC. Sounds great, but I'd like more and am not able to stretch to an NDS. I could manage an nDAC though, perhaps with the 272 as trade-in. Hi folks, As titled, is there anybody who is willing to spend funds in purchasing a CDP? Is it so stupid in doing so? Will a smart consumer buy a network player instead of a CD player? My girlfriend likes listening CDs and wonder if I should buy a CDP to her or a network player? If I buy a network player to her, then, I have to rip all her favourite CDs. Hi, I have recently bought Chord Mojo DAC for my headphones and I would like to try connect it to my Supernait SN1. Based on other post/recommendations I consider to buy "Audioquest Golden Gate 3.5mm to RCA" cable or some "custom made DIN to RCA". However, I was wondering if I could simply connect it to the front panel through "3.5mm analogue jack input". According to the manual, it is wired internally in parallel with rear panel aux1. What do you think about this solution?
