When I first got my 500, I just plopped it up top on my existing gear. Left side: 500/NDS/552/Space/Nap300 (Turned off) Right Side: 500 PSU/555 PSU/552 PSU/Space/Nap 300 PSU (turned off). Maybe it was just the 500 replacing the 300, but the system was absolutely magical. This lasted a week or so. I sold off the Nap300, and along with it the cables that the DIN XLR cables between the Nap500 PSU and HeadUnit. (Those were from the 300). Newer Din/XLR cables (naim) arrived a week later as did 2x...

Never thought about it before, but tonight we want to make a test audition of both pre-amplifiers. If it works this would reduce the cable hassle significantly. On the other side: I don’t want my Supercap go up in smoke. Thanks for your suggestions. Highly appreciated. FC

Hello Folks How is the combination of Uniti Star and KEF R500? I like the all in one convenience of Star but also considering Nova since there is a lot of comments referring KEF R500 needs powerful amp. R500 is already purchased now just looking for choice of correct amp.

Hello people! Just got Naim Nova pared with Davis acoustics courbet 5, and i must say the combo is super nice! So glad i got those speakers! I bought a CDX several years ago without a remote. I recently decided to reduce the effort of getting out of my chair to select tracks by getting a remote. I was told on good authority that the CDX would respond to a philips rc5 controller yet despite trying several rc5 controllers including Philips, Panasonic and Bush - no response ! Hope somebody can help. I am moving to the US for a year (Boston) and whilst I am putting my main Naim system into storage I wanted to take my Qb with me and wondered if it would work directly from the US mains voltage. I read that there is a Switch Mode Power Supply incorporated, does this mean if I put a simple socket adaptor on it then I’m good to go. Any experience with this is very much appreciated. Thanks

Would it be worthwhile going active with an NAP250 on the bottom and an NAP 140 up top, or does it have to be 250's all round to work acceptably? I already own both and am wondering whether the acquisition of a NAXO would be a worthwhile move. I'm thinking that the different signatures of regulated and unregulated amps may not gel.as a combo. I've bought a new house and my UQ2 and System Audio Aura 1's have come along with me. The Aura 1's are a real gem, fast, punchy, not too much bass and were perfect when I was living in apartments. Another great service by Wayne at Cymbiosis, Leicestershire. Resolving my head amp connectivity issues to NAC 122X. As usual Wayne patiently tested my head amp + mirror my setup at Cymbiosis and advise for me to try at home, started working again, saving me in purchasing replacement head amp. A great service!

On Radio 4's Broadcasting House program there was a mention in the newspaper reveiw that there was an article in the Sunday Telegraph that there will be an announcement tomorrow (19th March 2018) that there will not be a FM switch off in the UK - we will have a dual system ie FM and DAB.

Oeps....I just traded in my Nait XS-ND5XS- Flatcap XS in order to get myself the Uniti Nova (has to come in yet). I"m starting to get very worried because I see on this forum and elswhere on the internet many Uniti products with faults leaving the Naim factory. What"s wrong with Naim? Are they neglecting quality controls nowadays?

HI, Anyone done a comparision between Totem Forest and PMC 25.23 speakers. Source is Uniti 2 & Unitiserve. I have the Forests at the mo and love the clarity and bass but have the chance of going to the PMCs. Thanks Gordon
