Dear all, I presently use the interconnect Chord Anthem Reference (about £500) and have my system with all Powerlines except, the nDAC and the HDX - directly. In other words, the 552PS, 500PS, 555PS all have Powerlines, but the nDAC and HDX internal power supplies use the supplied cable. Now for similar price, I could get 1 x HIline or 2 x Powerlines. I had a chance to hear the pmc fact 12 with the new naim nap 250 dr, nac 282, and supercap dr and they sounded amazing .The nap 300 had a slightly better grip on the low end but the 250 sounded better in the mids to my ears .Anybody Demo these speakers they where not struggling with the 250 as some people surgest... the new nap 250 is better than the older non dr version so this might have something to do with it.

Had a weird thing happen around 2am this morning in UK. Was listening to LP12 and whilst changing LP sides, could hear voices through speakers. Turn up t’52 and some chinese radio station (in english) very noticeable coming through. Half hour later, gone. Bit later back again. Didn’t alter anything my end. Err - what? Any remedies anyone? Other inputs not affected so is Lingo 1 the culprit? (was serviced in 2017)

I Posted a few days back about utilizing a hicap in my system with a Supernait/lp12/ NDX. Now my dealer has allowed me to demo a 250.2that has been recapped, upgraded, and was part of his personal kit until he moved to a 300 years ago, and it has been sitting. I can’t afford both the 250 and hicap dr, and I am leaning toward the 250 now, as it really is a nice addition for my lp12. My problem is that my Supernait 1, does benefit from the flatcap and yes, I do prefer it over the hicap, sorry...

Does anyone have experience with active speakers, ATC or others, if so to what extent have they compromised or advanced the Naim sound? What has the tradeoff meant? Does anyone see active speakers as door to new generation of music lovers and audio enthusiasts?

In the Feb issue of Hi-fi news there is a very favourable review of Naim Super Lumina. However it also reports that its 66.4pF/m capacitance and 0.74uH/m inductance (9.6 mohm/m series resistance) are similar figures to NAC A5. Hence why is Super Lumina sold in 3m lengths when the minimum recommended for NAC A5 is 3.5m (at least for 'classic' series amps). I appreciate that the magazine doesn't state 'identical' figures but the way the paragraph reads suggests that the two cables are closer...

Two free upgrades... but now the room's a dogs dinner. I wanted to share the upgrades - they're easy and reversibIe - but was also wondering if anyone had advice on whether it's possible to keep the upgrade in SQ without messing up the room. So, the living room is 4.5m x 5.3m. For years I'd had the speakers firing 'across' the room i.e. with their backs to the 5.3m wall. Most of this wall (3.5m) comprises windows, and below this I think it's thick(ish) plywood which has been plastered.

Hi! I’m toying with the idea of buying a NAC552 but am not very updated on prices on the second hand market in UK. Could you please help me with your knowledge? Hi all, I am getting a NAP 250 DR which is expected to reach me either by this week or next week to replace NAP 155XS in my active system paired with NAP 200. Hey guys. The 72 I have is an early 1989 build. It came with red capped boards. I also have an old 32 that has amber/yellow caps. Which boards should I use in my 72? I heard the reds are older but they have higher numbers ie. 324/7 ..The yellow 324s say 324/4.

I'm currently using the CDS3 with a FC2x-Nait XS. Sometimes I feel the CDP turns in a less exciting performance than my old FC2x-CD5x did. Other times it's amazing. Yesterday I traded my SuperNait2 for an almost new NAC282 - NAPSC - NAP 200Dr set up, accompanied by my existing HiCapDr and NDX. Another nice step in sound quality that I immediately can notice. I have had a ClearAudio Concept TT with the Concept MC cartridge for a while combined with their Nano v2 phonostage. I have been happy with it but its always lacked a bit of depth. Please excuse this complete novice question. I've just landed a CD2 but it came without a remote. Is there a specific model of remote that I need (I realise a remote isn't vital, but nevertheless handy) or do various remotes work with the CD2? Cheers.

After prolonged use with the remote I’ve noticed that my 552 volume pot stops at 8 o’clock for zero volume instead of the usual 6/7 o’clock. Any idea how this can be rectified? It’s not a big deal but it would be nice to correct it.

Hi, i would like to add a turntable to my existing system, so i need a stacking advice. Help please on this. I've been using an adaptor to connect a connect a standard type FM lead, this adaptor seems to have now fallen apart, I can't make it go back together properly, and to prove the point, FM stations are now noisy, S/N wise. Does anyone know the name of the connection, to go directly between the coaxial lead and the socket. I'm sure this would be an improvement.
