Hi all, I've just bought an Olive Nac 82 and Supercap. They're both in for a service with my local approved servicer here Dublin. The Supercap will get the fullfworks. Naim are telling the servicer that they will no longer support the Nac 82. Has anyone else heard this? Hi all, Yesterday my new Focal Kanta 2 loudspeakers arrived. They will accompany my SuperNait2-HiCapDr-NDX combo using Naca5 cables. When purchasing, I emphasized on my need to have some decent guidance installing and setting them up. The dealer perfectly delivered upon that; they spent over 2hrs helping me forward. I have an NDS and CD5XS as well. Both unit are connected to my 282 preamp but CD5XS almost permanently switched off. How NDS' ground switch should be set ? Chassis or floating ? Thx in advance.

With Linn's new digital out phono stage and Naim's new Uniti range are we seeing two of the big players in UK hifi edging away from analogue and into the digital domain completely as a design philosophy. In the future will we see a D - Nap 250 with all D class circuitry powering ever smaller, ever more powerful speakers a la Devialet? I know nothing of electronics perhaps one of our tech savvy members can explain if this is a good or a bad thing or the reasons why it will never happen. But...

my wife gave my immaculate Kans away. Finally scratched the itch and bought some. System is NDS, 555DR, 552 DR, 300 DR with Titan 606. Looking forward to seeing how the Kans perform. Any ideas on maximising performance? They will usually be paired with second system - Supernait and HDX

Hi all, About to do a system re build. Ive got 2 quadraspire 5 level bamboo racks and a wall shelf for the LP12. My system is 52, 52 PS, 2x250's, SNAXO 242, Hi Cap, CDS3, XPS2, NDX, Headline, NAPSC and Lingo 3. Obviously bearing in mind Burndy lengths, what stacking order would you use ? Hi peeps As Im in the process of re fitting my racking I wondered if there is a way of shielding the Nait 3 from plugs/sockets electrical fields etc? Some have suggested sticking copper tape to the underside of the glass platter the Nait is sitting on (unfortunately there is an extension lead directly underneath this which cant be relocated) any thoughts suggestions? I bought a Qute 2 in mint condition and using it as a streamer for Spotify and FM/DAB. The analoque pre-out has variable volume setting, the digout has a fixed one. To me connecting it digital to the SN DAC seems to be the shortest way. But have read that the Qute 2 DAC is better than the one in the SN so connecting it analoque is better. I like to hear you're experiences.

Yesterday, I left my system (atom and focals) playing pink noise all day whilst I was at work. I came home and played an album at 30 volume and it sounded absolutely brilliant, and so loud that I had to turn it down a little, which is strange because 30 is my 'safe' volume so as to not annoy the neighbours. This morning I switch on my system, play the same album at 30 and it sounds weak and a lot quieter. Does a non-warmed up system cause this much difference? My apartment is really cold, so...

Guys need some help, I have noticed today my system is sounding awful all of a sudden, the definition and warmth and richness that my Hicap DR added has disappeared. I also noticed that the HICAP is now not at all warm where as before it has always run quite warm, just seems coincidental that the drop in temp has happened at the same time the sound has changed like the DR isn't in the system at all. Dear all Naimes. I have been testing these lately, the Iota Alpha. My wife love them for their small size, and I love them also for their design, since I like 60-70s furniture. Soundwise they are really great! I feel they match the Naim sound extraordinary. There is loads of prat and a really fast and punchy bass which is easy to follow. Just wanted to check the direction that a SNAIC should be plug in between a NAC202 and NAP200. I think the end with the white label (NA-0178) closest to it should be plugged into the NAC202? Can someone please confirm.

I am currently using 122X / 150X / Flatcap 2X / CD5X and a single-wired speaker, while Flatcap 2X provides power to both 122X and CD5X. Following a suggestion in a nearby forum, I bought a USB calibrated microphone and installed REW. Now have lots of pretty graphs - but have no real idea how to interpret them. On the face of it they don't look great. The waterfall is very rough and I don't think many barrels would survive it. The spectograph looks pretty, I guess, but I'm not sure what it means. What do they all mean, and what can I do to fix any problems - how do I know what I should do?

Hi, I've just set up one of my systems like this. Unitiqute 1 (but with upgraded 192k board) preamp out into a 5i (speakers set to off), with the A/V input on the 5i set to unity gain. The system is: Nait 5i CD51-2 (connected via Din) Qute (connected via RCA) Energy Connoisseur C3s connected with 5m of NACA5. I have an 82 powered by a Supercap and a SNAXO2-4 powered by a Hi-Cap. All Olive. I am looking out for another Olive Supercap to replace the Hi-Cap, but they seem hard to find. In the meantime I have a second Hi-Cap doing nothing. So... Would I be better leaving system as is or moving the Supercap to the SNAXO via a Burndy and using the two Hi-Caps to power the 82? Driving 135s and Allaes if that helps. I know I can just experiment but taking the system apart is hard work so was wanting to...

I have recently upgraded my second system with a Uniti Atom and it now consists of the Atom , a Nait XS2 and a Stageline along with an upgraded Rega P3 turntable and Devore Super 8 speakers. The Stageline is currently connected to the Nait XS2 which is alos providing power. I tried Supercap2 with Nait XS and the result was very good. I made this combination for fun but it became serious(ly nice). I can recommend this combination.
