Following some really (really) bad luck with a recent Nova purchase (various faults and had to return it), I am again considering a naim purchase. This will either be another Nova (hopefully better luck this time) or a Supernait 2. I need to carefully audition the latter but I seem to recall strong advice and caution about mains contamination. In fact I remember discussing the Supernait 2 with a friend (who owns it) telling me (emphatically) that it has to be plugged in a separate power...

Eaxh biampable speaker is different, so if one tweeter takes 10kHz upwards and another 8kHz upwards, how does this splitter distinguish?

Would there be significant differences btw SN2+DAC vs the NAC282+NAP250DR? But the price diff between both is quite significant too... ???? Thanks.

I have a 5pin din Hi line from my Nds to preamp and would have the chance to get a demo Sarum T for a very good price. The only thing is, it is a RCA to RCA cable. How much would be the drop soundwise, because I know, Din plugs are always better on Naim products ? Will the Sarum T (with RCA) be still so much better, although the connection is not via Din plugs from Nds to 252 ? Laurence

When helping my father with a sort out I have found some records I had from my youth.There is 15 albums,38 twelve inch and 43 seven inch records some of which are picture discs and coloured discs. I would like to listen to these records but don't want to spend a fortune as it's only a small collection and I don't know how good of a condition they are in. Just changed from ProAcs to ATC's. The ProAcs were what I suppose one might call "forgiving", making just about anything listenable. The ATC's are anything but. With arguments in favour of source first, power supplies and now cables what have been your biggest wow moment upgrades? Hi Naim guys and girls. Did anyone have a chance to compare those two Spendor modeles? I have A2 on home demo in an 18 m2 big room with one speaker close to left and rear wall. This may seem an obvious answer, but I’m still unclear. If speakers have separate inputs for bass and treble, or even bass, mid, treble then has the passive crossover been removed as the separate frequencies already have their own input?? As a corollary of this, a passive crossover is therefore speakers with ONE set of inputs and the speaker splits this to bass and treble. Am I correct??

Are the S-600's a good match for this combo? I've got the opportunity to buy a six year old shop demo pair in Zebrano finish for a very nice price but no chance to audition them because they are like 800 km away from my location and I've got no time at the mo to drive over there. I'm willing to take the risk ordering them unheard because of the price but I would also like to hear some user experiences.

HELLO...does anyone know what material are the pins in the IEC plug made of?? Either in the standard naim cable and in the powerline?? I cannot recognize looking "into it" if it is made of brass or copper! I need to make new cables that run from a powerstrip to the wall and also to connect other non naim stuff but I do not want to mix useless materials like gold plating as this does not seem to be used in naim cables! I see the standard one supplied with my supernait2 as many have observed...

Just a quick one. I've got my Star and have been playing with it as time/family allows. Has anyone else had the glass bar fall off the bottom? We suspect the delivery chap dropped the box over the gate but can't be certain. Naim helpdesk say they haven't heard of it before and have referred me back to the retailer.

Hi all Just a quick couple of questions for you classic owners. 1. Coming from a Qute originally then a Nova, both units I would leave the power on but put on Standby when not in use. Is there not a standby option with the Supernait 2 and NDX? 2. Is it ok temporarily for me to put the NDX directly on top of the supernait till I create an additional shelf? 3. Hi, I have recently sold my NAC 252/SUPERCAP/ NAP250DR System. I’m looking to either go Active NAC52/SUPERCAP olive Snaxo 362/SUPERCAP NAP 135 x6 or go for a NAC552 with perhaps a NAP300. Any input on which will sound better? The general advice is always to improve on the preamp but I have read the active systems absolutely blow any passive system away. Also how do I run the speakers can I purchase a normal speaker and have it modified for active use? thanks guys

Hi all I picked up my Nova at the weekend and really rate the unit. However the sound seems to of lost its spark and does not sound anywhere near as good as it did for the first few hours after I got it. I am hoping this is a symptom of running in, as it is a little daunting being that it now sounds on par with the Unitiqute2 it replaces! Any advise? Many thanks Popeye

I'm looking to add a SuperCap to my SuperLine. This, however, raises some interesting questions about my two stacks of Fraim. Hi all Having experienced many issues since owning a new Nova my dealership is giving me a refund as I have had 2 faulty Novas in the past 3 weeks. I LOVE my Superline. But I have found that I NEED to have a 1nF capacitor plug stuck in the back of my Superline to avoid it 'motorboating'.
