I have a MacBook Pro (2010) and a recently acquired original Uniti, and I want them to start speaking with each other so that I can play some 24bit Wav files. I've tried streaming, but I'm not overly impressed, so I'm going to try a simple and direct wired connection. But I'm a bit confused about what lead I need. Evening all, touched on this on previous post but wanted to get some expert opinions/advice. I want to move one of my speakers further down my living room to better placed when sitting down. Current cable lengths are 5m each side. But would need 10m to move the left speaker. Cable being used is Naim. Would I lose much quality if lengths are different? Or if I joined the current cable to make longer? Dealer has said they can join the cable or offer trade in on the 5m for the 10m. Or do I...

My current setup is Nac252, Nap300DR, Supercap2, NDac, XPSDR, Dali Epicon 6, Auralic Aries Femto. My Supercap is about 11 years old, so next logical step would be to do a recap and the DR upgrade. But in the medium time frame i would like to go from 252 to 552DR ( preloved) So is there any use for the Supercap in that setup? Dont want to go active. If not, i think i can skip the recap/DR upgrade. Am i correct?

Hi - I’ve just noticed an audible hum from my NAP 200. When I turn it on using the from switch, the is a slight crack followed by an audible hum that doesn’t stop. The hum is from the amp itself and is not coming through the speakers. If I disconnect those it is still there is this normal or is this a trip to my dealer?

Speakers I have been running with the untitlite are Rega RS3. I have had no complaints with them. Great speakers. So my dilemma now is what speakers to purchase to improve what the Nova can handle. After a twenty year gap, my records are coming out of the loft. I would be interested to get options if people think the Rega Planar 1 is good enough as a starting point to see if I enjoy playing vinyl or should I go with a Rega Planar 3 to get more out of the albums ?

Hi, I just took ownership of a NAC42.5 with no phono cards installed. Using it with a NAP 140/SNAPS and an Ariston RD11/SME 3009/Goldring 1012 GX Looks like the original 322 MM cards are nigh on impossible to get hold of these days (unless anyone can suggest a likely supplier) so I am looking for an external phono stage ...can anyone suggest what would be a good match in line with rest of the system? I have read good things about SBLs . I use Allaes at the end of a strong set up, driven by 300 DR . Room is narrowish and speakers need to be placed near back and side walls. Please let me have your views on whether replacing the Allaes with SBLs (I thought about SL2s but cannot find any)

Hi All, Some time ago I switched from a CDX+xps to an nDac+xps with raspberry pi as a source. Having 'lived' with it for a while I find myself missing the presentation, liveliness and drive of the cdx. NDac sounds much better (increased separation and soundstage predominantly) and more to my liking via the front usb port but it makes usability a sore pain. The question: what source would bring me closer to the USB-fed quality of sound on the nDAC? Or should I simply look for another source...

My recently acquired 555psdr powering my CD 555 has shut down ,no power, worked perfectly last night this morning no good. Checked electric service and power line. Seemingly no other problems with system, any way to reset ?

My SN had the firmware upgrade last july at my dealer to get rid of the freez/locking up problems. After the upgrade it performed without any issues at all till last friday. Since then it has freez up about 8 times after selecting a different input (both analoque and digital or even the rec/mute button). I now have set all inputs to analoque and disconnect the coax cable for the Sonos streamer. It looks like to be stable now but it is very strange why this did happened the last 4,5 months?

Hello, I have a NAC 32 and a SNAPS. I can't seem to locate accurate connection information on how this all cables together and what I need exactly. The only reference material I can find refers to the NAC 32.5. What exact sockets are in play from the NAC 32 to the SNAPS? Also, what socket do I use to connect to a non-Naim amp? I demoed the LCD-X and I'm considering purchasing them to replace my Sennheiser HD800 headphones. System is NDS/555DR/252/supercap dr/ 300DR with Allaes. I am thinking of speaker upgrade. Room is smallish (narrow). Allaes great in corners - speakers have to be close to walls at back and sides. Hi, I am interested in a Naim Uniti Nova system. It looks as if prices in the UK are significantly lower on these units currently (as are many luxury goods currently) likely due to currency fluctuations. Does anyone know of a reputable UK dealer who will ship to the USA. It looks as if these units are compatible with all voltages according to the specs.

Assuming that Naim equipments are designed to cope with different scenarios of power distribution in and out house, and vastly improve with better quality of power supply (to be checked...), what type of electrical setup do you have or just don´t care about it and spend all your available money on the hifi itself ? ths for your inputs.

Despite the volume is in zero position from the speakers even if the music is heard at very low volume. I performed a reset but did not have any effect. Is there a procedure to change the zero-volume gain? Thank you
