Moved into my new home (just retired) and loving the open plan setup and the glass everywhere. A great feel of air and light, but my SBL`s are backed onto a glass partition and not sounding good. There isn't anywhere else to put them. Any ideas ,or workarounds please. I am not selling my SBL's they are joining me in a very tastefull humanist funeral .

As above, I have a few questions that I hope you can help with: Question 1: Downstairs I currently have a Nac 32.5 connected to a HC via a 4 pin din, and I am using a 5 pin link plug on the back of the 32.5 'Socket 4' marked HC. - Would there be any benefit in using a 5 pin Din between the HC/32.5 in place of the 4 pin din, and removing the link plug? Do you need a separate power supply (say a HiCap) if you have a NAC202 / NAP250 combination? 2. I have seen a couple of Hi Caps at seemingly good prices and wondered how practical it was and if there would be any benefit in using the Nait XS with one. How would this combination compare to the Supernait DR only?

Invested in the Vetere PSU for the Xerxes with top Pulse umbilical wire. As much I enjoy my CDS3 it has never been able to match what the Roksan does for soundstage, fluidity and involvement but now it’s just worlds apart. Regards, Lindsay

Are any members running this combination having previously used 135s ? I'm quite tempted with the idea but can't find any threads comparing the 300drs to 135s. There has been plenty of discussion about 300s and 135s which generally suggests it would be a sideways step to move to the 300s. Home demo is not a possibility as I live quite remote and would probably buy ex-demo anyway. I am considering DR'ing my 555ps .... in the context of using it with an NDS - would changing to a 555dr actually change the presentation and balance of the system? I'm sure I read somewhere that the change to 555dr changed the presentation - so that it sounded harder and more but more detailed......... where as the 555ps had a slightly softer presentation......... Hello everyone! I have 62+180 setup, monitor audio silver 5i speakers, and diy turntable lenco+sme. I really love 62+180 sound, especially through integrated phono card. All parts in preamp and amp were original, no recapping done. About the sound. I like the bass, when it comes not to head and ears, but to floor, and furniture and body. And my 62+180 in original way have that bass. Not super a lot, but i like how it sounds. And midrange was also nice, not screaming. But the highs leaked...

I am the proud owner of a new nap 300dr but I’ve got a concern that I’m hoping you maybe able to help me with. I started it up having connected it to my Nac272 and after 5 mins of low volume listening, the sound faded out to nothing. I am considering a NAC 252 on an auction site. It seems to be quite an old one - the box is blue-and-white which must mean about 2005 at the latest - but I can’t tell quite how old. The serial number appears to be just four digits starting with 3 and according to the Naim website this makes it 1980s vintage but that can’t be right because the NAC itself is in the current style with three sections and an illuminated logo on the front fascia. Two weeks ago I took delivery of the S1 pre amp, replacing my tried and trusted 552 after many years of fantastic music. Many thanks to Audio T for excellent service and installation as always. From cold, it was good, with all the tonal qualities of the 552 with a little more bass definition and a little sweeter in the treble. My system is active 500 drs and S800, so it should be good. Four days in, it was outstanding, the music was totally effortless and more "real" than I have ever heard.

After buying some new loudspeakers (ATC SCM11 in cherry) and stands (FS104 Signature) last week, I have deiced to treat myself again today with a Fraimlite. One base level and two additional levels in black, I will be collecting it tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to having everything installed properly. I'll just have to wait for another 3 weeks or so for the speakers to arrive. I think the cherry ATC will look really nice next to the black Fraimlite. Ian.
