House move complete (excuse messy cables & wallpaper) the Tablette 10’s were set up yesterday evening. The room is not that small, about 5 x 3.5 x 3, but I did need something smaller than the S400 which looked huge in the room! These little beauties are a marvel! So quick & musical with quite astonishing bass for their size. Close my eyes and I’m hard pushed to differentate from the Ovator in terms of scale and authority. A very good piece of loudspeaker design. G

It appears that I've got myself a dirty potentiometer on a used NAC82 I bought, any advise on how to clean it? Should I attempt it myself or have a qualified dealer do it? Thanks.

Hi All. I have been using my Nait 5 as a poweramp with an external preamp. I did not have a 4 pin din plug handy, so have been using Unity Gain via the AV input. Should I expect any difference in sound using the 4 pin input? Can i cause damage to my Nait? I would like to leave it powered up 24/7. Thanks!

I'm experiencing some problems with "Audio Mute" function of my NAC N 272 (recently purchased). Randomly, listening music from any audio source, the "audio mute" is automatically activated (sometimes after 30 minutes or something more). I try to reactivate the original volume, but after a few seconds the mute audio is reactivated again. I'm forced to try again a few times before the volume becomes stable. Has anyone encountered the same problem?

A friend of mine has inherited from a family friend a pair of vintage Quad Electrostatic speakers with separate dynamic bass units. Being of an age, I vaguely recall that these were very highly regarded in their time and also possibly that they were of Scandinavian design. Can anyone let me know a bit more about them? B & W has changed things up. After a few long listens to the new 702 S2's I really like the mid & high but the bass has lost it's direction. It isn't as controlled & quick as it was in the CM10 S2. I had planned to upgrade to the 702's but have found I don't enjoy them as much as I had hoped. So......it's been suggested I give the Focal Aria a listen. I've always enjoyed the B & W signature but the new ones just aren't the same. Any recommends? I'll have a Supernait 2 running...

I'm looking at the above as a possible replacement for my Excite X32 Dynaudio speakers. Does anyone have experience of these or better still with both of the above speakers ? Would it be a worthwhile upgrade? I'm using 282/300 with LP12 TT and TQ Black speaker cable room is 10m squared.

"High Treason!" - I've owned N-Sat's now for 6 years and frankly have never been that impressed. I merely bought them to accompany the N-Sub. As a trio they're pretty good. My N-Sub is off being repaired and I've moved my NSat's to my study where they hang off a NAP150x and DAC-V1. Help please! Having powered down my whole system and disconnected everything to give it all a good clean and try a bit of cable dressing, I have put it all back together and after a short time playing perfectly there is a kind of pop from the speakers and a loss of sound. There is still power to all components but no sound. Turn everything off, wait a minute or two and turn it back on and its all fine again. Time between pops seems to vary from 10 minutes to two hours! Any suggestions...

The new Uniti Nova is not delivered standard with DAB-FM. The feedback from naim dealer is it will be made available in some future without any more details. Would at least like to know if the DAB-FM will require to send the uniti back to the factory or if the update can be envisaged on site. Any indication on the above would be welcomed BR

My remote control stopped responding at both my devices (apm+cd).Does anybody knows if there is a combination of keys in order to restore its functionality? After comparing a stock unserviced Olive Hicap (1994) with a 2012 Hicap DR I find the Hicap DR falls short. This finding was quite obvious. The treble is sharper and it sounds "choked" in comparison to the olive. It is a bit cleaner and slightly more detailed but less flow and depth . This might be a stupid question.... What are 5 pin Link plugs, flexible link plugs or paddle plugs for, please? Are they to configure a source/preamp/poweramp for its power supply? Or do I need them in empty input sockets to reduce interference?

I’ve been using my beloved 272 since June 2015, with the addition of an XPSDR in autumn that year. Yesterday I installed a brand new 555 PS DR, with a new S-XPS Burndy. Rather like when I bought the XPS two years ago I didn’t try the 555 first, and when I picked it up from the shop Dan from Naim was there for a Uniti open day. Folks - does anyone know if the pins in the Unitiqute speaker plugs (below) are the same as in the normal Naim speaker plugs. As far as i'm aware, only the Ovator plugs have different plating to standard ? Otherwise recommendations for good quality speaker plugs appreciated - the Naim ones look like Deltron but with a different solder bucket. Cheers James

Hi all, I've renctly purchased new Naim Nait 5si. It sounds good! The 2 issues I have with the product are: 1. The transformer is buzzing constantly. I know it can happen from time to time so I'm not complaining too much.. 2. There is constant buzz from my speakers even if there is no source connected at all. This makes me troubled a lot.
