I thaught the marked end of the Burndy should be placed at scource, so at the Ndac. But i found a picture in a German HiFi Magazine, where it is opposite, whats now correct?

I am thinking buying a dac, i like naim sound, have ndx, but i am not sure that this is best move, naim dac is on business since 2010.. Thx.

Hi, just ordered a XPS DR, to feed my Naim Dac, but have no place for it in my rack. I have to options a) put it in a drawer of my rack, but dont know if the XPS runs hot, because there is no ventilation. b) put it on the DAC I know both solutions are not optimal. Thx

My friends boy (16) wants a deck, amp and speakers (open to second hand) and probably something he can blue tooth / stream from iTunes. Budget is not clear at the moment but think cheap. Any recommendations? thanks Gary

Hi all. I have a su connected to Q900 speakers and the sound is very good. However I found I am not using the streamer because I prefer the ritual of using cds. Hence I bought a cyrus cdi and psx. This got me thinking... the su now appears to be at a dead end in terms of upgrades... with the introduction of the new atom etc. If I want to upgrade.... slowly.... due to cost... what are my options ? Great you love it, the warmth, the mechanical connection of the instruments associated with the TT. But can it be improved? This particular Dealer in the States, replied with an emphatic yes! First off, this Dealer does Naim & Linn. But doesn't play Records, or CDs. He feels the SQ is inferior to the CORE!

suppose i take one speaker lead and plug its (+) banana into the amplifier's left channels (+) while its (-) goes in the right channel's (-), same about the other speaker lead with its (+) plugged in the right channel's (+) and with its (-) in the left channel (-), what do i get then? monophonic sound or damage to the amplifier?

I have proudly just finished a pair of bi-wire adapters that allows me to use my NAP150x amplifier and Naim NAC A5 speaker cable with my bi-wire-only vintage Roksan Darius and the results are great! These adapters are made using a aluminium cases and high quality Hicom banana plugs. The cable is, of corse, Naim NAC A5 (direct from plug to plug) and I have use a shielding sheet inside the box, between the two runs of cables. Pictures bellow :)

has anyone tried to elevate from the floor the burndy cables with cardas multi blocks? my burndys are touching the floor....these multi blocks are not so expensive ( 50GBP for 6)

System = CDS3/252/300/SBL Fraim Well a bit of an epiphany today with my listening room... I brought all of our soft furnishings from another room and placed in strategic locations in my listening room. What a difference! Gone is the horrendous sharp top end that discouraged me from turning up the volume. Welcome to some great bass brought about by turning up the wick a little.... it appears very much like the ‘noise’ is from reflections off side walls etc... now I have the answer god knows...

Unless something magical just happened to my (already magical) Tablette 10’s my 272/250DR sounds superb this afternoon. I swear if I were blindfold and told an XPSDR had been added I’d believe it. Is Sunday afternoon quiet on the grid? Would that account for the lovely sounds I’m experiencing? G

Hi folks, I'm a bit frustrated regarding the NDS... I have done everything right regarding the streaming solution: NDS + 555PS DR + Netgear switch (+iFi iPower) + UnitiCore + Chord Sarum T ethernet cable (to the NDS) + Chord C stream ethernet cable (to the UnitiCore). It all seems to work nice and lovely but when I put a cd, any cd, on my CDS-2+555PS DR it just blows away the NDS in terms of musical enjoyment, clartiy, naturalness, engagement, black backgrounds, etc, etc... Hello i have since 6 months a Supernait 2, and i was from the beginning very happy with this, since 1 month i have Sonus Faber Amati tradition, and they are really beauties, very clear sound, very warm sound. Now i upgraded with a Hicap DR, but now the warmed is gone, the high tones are to sharp, its unpleasent to listen, the only thing i notice is that there is more room in the music more wide, but bass is almost gone, i am very surprised about this, more because i read everywhere positive...

Guys... has as anyone had anything serviced recently by Lintone ? They are an official Naim service centre but you don’t hear much about them doing services... I know they changed their long standing tech guy a couple of years back.... recommendations welcome thanks

My NDX needs to go for service. Maybe my 250.2 needs some DR love. Sadly the shipping cost - one way - seems to be about£400. So I am wondering about taking them to the UK myself. But I don't want to trust an airline putting them in the hold. They are a little bit too big for hand luggage though so I am wondering about buying them a seat. Has anyone done this? Or have a different suggestion?

Enough for a 552 DR + 300 DR? I’m immensely happy with my sound, but domestic commitments - toddler not pulling cables out of speakers - is a big issue. And it’s getting worse as she grows. So I may part exchange and get some wall based speakers leaving a nice big play area and less worry of speaker and amp damage. Oh yeah, daughter damage too. Any suggestions??!

This week i upgraded my mega rp3 with a techno weight (fitted by a professional) i.e. Doug Brady Hifi and a Dynavector 20x2 H. They work very nicely into my stage line N / hicap. Im very impressed coming from a gelding 1042 hehehehe ....... Soon I'm inline for a nac202 (i like the sound) and don't have the budget for a 282 etc but was wondering if running the stage line on aux2 would sound ok? I do plan on a hicap later on, but would it be so bad?

Hello, Since few weeks I am using Supernait to drive my Dynaudio Contour S 1.4 LE speakers and I am surprised by the volume level that they deliver. These speakers are considered to be hard to drive (low sensitivity 85 dB and 4 Ohms) but with volume gain at 9 o'clock it is very loud. Is it normal for this amplifier?
