............and other all-electric cars. I just saw the Nissan Leaf advert (watching Downton) £186 annual fuel bill. Now if 30 million UK car owners switched to all-electric cars..........how many extra power stations would we need to build? Or am I being a Ludite ? Cheers Don

It is pertinent to note that Naim is in active recruitment mode (with four jobs currently advertised) at a time when much of British manufacturing industry is in the doldrums. Well done, Naim!   Engelbert

I still use an iPhone 3GS. I never thought Apple had done enough to persuade me to upgrade with the Iphone 4/4S. Now,  the 5th generation has grabbed my attention and I'll definitely be placing an order.Anyone else tempted to upgrade?

I have just noticed that now there is a new "tool" called -Your Block List- where, apparently, you can dispose of all the unecessary need of communication, dialogue and debate if one does not agree with someone's opinion or point of view ....

HardTalk tonight. Stephen Sackur talking to William Shatner. By far the best interview ever with Captain Kirk, where he's his usual witty, interesting self, and extremely frank about the low points. Check it out. ...

Does anybody know how to move individual "artists" within iTunes to another 'album"? I sometimes notice that instead of putting all the tracks on a CD into one album iTunes creates 2 or more albums, especially when an artist has different bands or co-singers on the same track. It has been a minor irritation until today. I have recently bought "Lady Day"- the Complete Billie Holiday on Columbia (Sony) which comprises 10 CDs with numerous artistic line ups and bands and iTunes has made a real...

After both being told to do something about our lifestyles and general fitness, cycling has been suggested. Of course the next step is to purchase said vehicles. We are looking for sensible suggestions for a his and hers set , hybrid type for road/ cycle paths and easy trials (converted railways etc). We have briefly looked at a Evans and £350-450 seems where we are at for an aluminium framed version. Any advice? Any recommendation for stores in the Gatwick area? Recommended brands? Brands...

This is the last photo of my by then twenty one year old Volvo 240 DL, which I had owned for eleven years at the time, and done a remarkably small mileage on!     I am wondering whether to get another of type [and similar chassis], but much older, as this simplifies maintenance  All you need is a feel for it, a set of spanners, some good screw drivers, and some metric Allen Keys, to keep such a motor completely smooth and reliable. Oh and some basics like a good...

I recently signed up to Lovefilms streaming option. Introductory offer of £5 for for three months seemed to good to dismiss. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the choice and would appreciate any tips. I don't go to the cinema oftern as I'm put off by all the Hollywood drivel. I like Independent/international/art house cinema e.g Renoir Cinema in London or GFT in Glasgow. Any recommendations for films made in the past decade or so ? Films of the last decade I've enjoyed: Tinker, Taylor, Soldier,...
