Question Time asked whether a new Royal Yacht should be gifted to the Queen to mark her Diamond Jubilee. I think a new ship would be a good idea. Use the Jubilee as a catalyst. Main benefit, as with the previous Royal Yacht, would be promotion of British interests abroad. Canada has already pledged £10m. £1 per head from the UK and we are there. Seems like a good investment to me. Cheers Don

Does no one care about the business of a ship captain leaving his charges to their fate after acting like an idiot. After all he was not in a rowing-boat! Does no one care to consider the potential for a long and horrible recesssion in the UK...

Well its nice to start 2012 on apositivenote, England have been covered in brown coloured glory by Pakistan in AbuDhabi. England crumbled to a 72-run defeat in the 2nd Test & have lost the 3-match series. They were chasing only 145 but were bowled out for 72 with lefty spinner Abdur Rehman on 6-25. Notable game by Monty Panesar looked to have England left well placed to level the series Strauss & Prior where the only England double numbers The...

A new & apparently quite convincing scam is out & about on the interweb ‘ Population Census: a message to everyone – act now ‘ This is allegedly in the name of National Statistician, Jil Matheson. It demands individuals provide further personal information, supposedly for the census and threatens fines for non-compliance. It has no connection whatsoever with the National Statistician, the 2011 Census or the Office for National Statistics & its believed the links download malware...
