My wife and I watched every episode of the above 'Undercover' ; when we watched the last episode we were still in mystery as to the final end of the story. We still do not know why the MI5 was so obsessed about the lady lawyers actions. Perhaps the person in Louisiana who was sentenced to death by lethal injection was an assassin working for CIA/MI5 to kill the senator, that is why he said to the lady lawyer 'that the senator deserved to die he did many evil things', so she got a stay on his...

An overriding sense of déjà vu sometimes overwhelms me here The AAS is so much better than the AAX but the AAX is no slouch either.

Driverless Cars................. They were mentioned in The Queen’s Speech today. Is it just “cars” or will it include “white vans”, busses and articulated lorries ? Will we divert the money saved from taxi driver wages, bus driver, van driver and lorry driver wages to paying Dole Money ? (I’m a Ludite !) How soon will some terrorist organisation acquire a fleet of these vehicles, pack them with explosives and………………… ….or am I just being pessimistic as well ?

So apparently a little German company is marketing a pair of speakers for £420,000. I have to admit I have spent thousands on my present system but this sum of money is a bit of a turn off really. Buying a pair seems to me is like condoning the Republican Party who don't much care for those who disagree with their beliefs. I wonder how many Republicans read this forum? There is a funny little website called americanthinker.com that made me realize future holidays in America would not be a...

We are having our kitchen done shortly and will get a double built-under oven with a gas hob above. I was assuming we'd just get a steel hob, but on looking into it I discover that gas on glass is all the rage. We'll almost certainly get Neff, as they are well made and not too pricey. We do quite a lot of pasta sauces that always seem to spit bits of tomato on the hob, and I'm wondering which is the easiest to keep clean. The last thing I want is to spend ten minutes after every meal...

For the photo enthusiasts among us: which photo management software do you use? I have been using Aperture since v1, but the software hasn't been supported by Apple for a while now and I am concerned that at some point in the near future, it won't run or new cameras aren't supported anymore. I haven't found a good alternative: Photos is not sophisticated enough to easily manage a large catalogue; I don't like Lightroom's interface or Adobe's move to subscription-based licensing; Capture One...

Why? Just started watching Upstart Crow. Frankly it doesn't look all that but the ridiculous laugh track heavily pasted all over it and gobbing away at the end of every third line in the script prevents me from sticking with it. It might turn out to be funny but I shall have to remain in ignorance.

Anyone else? I actually think it's been really well and sensitivity handled, brilliantly scripted and superbly acted. Albeit occasionally very difficult and disturbing to listen to. No spoilers (or at least well flagged ones only) because many people only listen to the Sunday omnibus.

After 30 years the lens ring on my Canon T90 has come loose, so I'm going to have to buy a new camera. I've looked on the Canon website and there is a lot more choice than I remember. On my budget I have a couple of options, A mid range APS-C camera (760) and a couple of high spec zoom lenses 16-35mm f4 IS and a 70-200mm F4 IS or A full frame camera (6D) and a 35mm f2 and a 70-200mm F4 non IS Both options are a similar price, the second is closer to my existing set up, without the full range...

Based on an idea from a 'popular radio gameshow', please suggest film titles likely to appeal to members of an Audiophile film club. The Long Goodmans Friday Who Framed Rogers Rabbit Picnic at Townshend Rock , etc.   Cheers, C.

I had a scam mail a few days ago & talking to friends they've had the same; now I've just had a TVP Neighbourhood Watch warning of the same scam, so it seems there's a lot about. Its one of the scams that anyone who is scam savvy will see through, but it does look like a genuine Apple communication & includes the correct Apple postal address. So as its related to Apple, iTunes, iCloud & iOS users with Naim app. that many of our fraternity will be using ........ It appears to be...

Following on from Mr Halibut's recent contribution on the Moving Rooms topic, I thought it might be worth showing off our mains installations. Here's mine. As you see, there are several boxes, some black, some white. Some have lots of switches and wires poking out, and one has a little wheel that goes "Wheeee!!" ever so fast.

Does anyone here use one and can comment on them? I continue to use my desktop PC for 'busy' work, photo editing etc. and use my old laptop for smurfing while watching TV/listening to music etc. It is near it's end though. So, want a replacement but don't need anything powerful or upmarket, just something for casual smurfing, emails, linking to hi-fi and with 13/14 inch screen and wouldn't need it for storage. Cheap Windows laptops seem barely able to run Windows 10 at the same time as...

My cousin [once removed], Richard Johnson is champion Jockey at the end of his career trailing by one AP McCoy for more than a decade. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/36092074 In normal times, without the super-talent McCoy, he would have dominated horse-racing, but every half century a real genius appears. However McCoy retired in just enough time to allow my cousin his moment in the spot-light. I might even think that AP retired with charity to allow his old rival to celebrate a...

Brilliant BBC drama. The intensity of the 26 minute interview scene reminiscent of the good old days of 'Face to Face' and the like. G

British Steel…………… I can’t quite recall how quickly (or slowly) the Government was to step in and support British Bankers a few years back – and yes, I am aware it was a different Government that did this. But I don’t see much enthusiasm in the current Government to step in and support British Steelworkers and more importantly, the British steel industry. Is banking that much more important to the overall British economy than steel making, or is it that more bankers went to Harrow, Eton and...

London marathon tomorrow - Start at 10, finish about 2:15 (hopefully), an amazing burger at Joe Allen's in Covent Garden, a long awaited beer - and then home to wine and music! Any other forum members taking part?

After repairs to my friend’s rather nice [and design and finish-wise] much more flamboyant Claud Butler, I went straight on and set the Carlton up again. Tiny adjustment on the Bottom Brackets and mounting my numerous lights! Beside this beautiful machine the Carlton looks somewhat austere or perhaps purposeful: Ready for the new season. My Raleigh will now be stripped to the frame and re-enamelled to give her another thrirty years of life! ATB from George

I was a member of Lansing Heritage Forum for people (like me) who love JBL speakers. However I quit because the lunatics (or disciples) their would go ballistic if anyone would find fault with the company. Rude, vitriolic and arrogant really are the norm there and yet very few members actually still buy new JBL speakers to ensure quality remains. I have been so staggered I wanted to express my delight at how this Naim Forum expresses itself, albeit with a few "passionate" people. Enjoying a...
