Why?!?!  There's no VAT increase, why 4%. Are the workforce getting a 4% wage increase?, no increase in inflation   is it just habit.

Hello all, After many years of wanting my CD collection on show I've decided that I would now like to have it all hidden. Does anyone know of some chest of drawers that will hold CDs perfectly so that when you open the draw you can search through...

Well, last night I 'upgraded' to iOS 8.3 on my iPhone 6 plus.  I tend to avoid these updates unless I have a problem, but the upgrade was prompted by the recent upgrade to Yosemite 10.10.3, which replaced iPhoto with the new Apple Photos app on...

I've noticed a high degree of financial acumen on this forum.   The company I work for is setting targets that are much higher than last year sales figures. Last years sales are usually met, but the figure achieved is usually lower than the...

Anyone interested in old photos should pop along to the Retronaut site, a real treasure trove.   One of my latest finds was this collection of Autochrome pics from 1913. It's not only the vivid colours that make them seem strikingly modern......

In my quest to upgrade one of the components in my system,  I have been talking to a few dealers across the country and came to the conclusion that the further up I called(from London)  the warmer the reception and customer service were. Has...

I recently replaced what I thought was a simple on/off switch on my Manticore Mantra Power supply. When I removed it, I discovered it was actually a Thermal Magnetic Circuit Breaker. (always wondered why it didn’t have a fuse). Given the fact fuses supposedly degrade sound quality, why don’t hi end hifi equipment manufactures use Thermal Magnetic Circuit Breakers, or do they. Seems a no brainer, Switch and fuse versus switch

Last week I had the perfect example of how appreciated good customer service can be. A business trip brought me to Vancouver. In a few free hours I brought a visit to Hificenter (dot com) to snif around a bit. One of the guys working there offered to show me. He spent a full hour with me showing every single listening room !! Very, very knowledgable and enormously friendly people. HifiCentre is the best equipped store I ever saw. Every single listening room is completely furbished with...
