Hello, I am hoping that somebody on this forum could help me with my old bike.  I bought it many years ago off EBay for just messing around.  It has a road racing frame and is very comfortable to ride.  My curiosity has been growing...

Sharing [uncopyright] music files via the net ... Is there a service where one could upwards such files to so that they may be accessed in similar fashion to photographs being accessed from flickr or photobucket?   I'd be very interested to know about such a service, mainly for use in the Music room.   ATB from George

I'm giving Safari another go as Chrome seems to be having issues, lots of CPU time etc.   In Chrome you can set the start up tabs you want, but I can't find out if it's possible in Safari. There doesn't obviously seem to be a settings page that...

They both went down in my estimation, partaking in the current moronic 'Ice Bucket Challenge' nonsense.   Get wet - lose your dignity. Some challenge.   Ah; but it's for charity.   I was pleased to read that the Prime Minister had the...

I recently cut off an ancient MK plug from an appliance at work.   The machine went to scrap, but the plug is so old that it has solid brass pins without the plastic shielding [and therefore is now illegal], so should I use this archaic plug for my amplifier, so as to counter the reduced the electric flow in the current Crabtree plug with proper insulation, that has much smaller pins to account for the plastic insulation placed to stop me electrocuting myself without turning off the...

Just noticed we have new heading at the top of the page. Still has the barely-used "About", "Activity" and "Recent Activity" headings; but still no "Padded Cell". Weren't we told that there was no room on that ribbon?

Splashed out on a new MTB frame. Been doing a bit more off road, and also on-road on the MTB with my wife (it slows me down and makes it more fun for both of us) My old Orange hardtail steel frame was pretty hard and heavy so I wanted a bit of...

In a few moments of boredom I was 'going deeper' on the newly revamped Naim website, when I stumbled upon the Naim Experience. Two things struck me:   'Nestled almost in the shadow of Salisbury Cathedral'..... The use of 'almost' is interesting....

How does this happen? Within days the armed forces of my country will once again be at war; and yet we seem to have had no real debate or indeed dissent.   I'm ashamed of our response. Do we not understand that we are doing exactly what ISIS...

Very worrying I think that this terrible disease seems to be raging out of control in Africa and has now had a first case in Spain.  I can't help feeling that the authorities are underestimating the risk this presents and playing the whole thing...
