My son's girlfriend has found a KM Stowa pocket watch, in her late fathers property, her grandfather probably "liberated" it during WW2. It has the Swastika and eagle above the serial number. An interesting item I think, she has asked a question about...

It seems to me blindingly obvious the conundrum regarding quantum theory - one particle being in multiple positions but only being in one - once measured - light waves are some magnitude larger than quantum waves, so the theory that light is the...

Compact v DSLR camera............. The Leica D-Lux 4 is no more. Its kaput !. It was dropped (about 12 inches and it was in its Lowepro protective pouch but…..hey-ho, there we go !) So, do I replace it with a D-Lux 6 at c. £600 for the original reasons, small, light, always with me and half-decent pictures. Or do I move to a DSLR and hopefully better pictures? A quick glance at Gray’s web-site shows a D7000 + 18-105mm lens at £699. Or do I suffer “Mission Creep” and consider a D7000 +...

Dears, Are there any recommendations on what might be considered a "staycation" within the United Kingdom, versus a trip to a Eurozone destination? This may be on the basis of : - City or town/ landscape, beach locations - 3 or 4 nights, B&B - Budget of £500 but could be flexible Which is better, £ for £ (or € for € ) for all leisurely fulfilments?
