John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963. It's a defining moment in US history that helped fuel a radical, tumultuous decade. I wonder how many here remember what they were doing when they heard the news?

Road or MTB. Could be a regular or something you've done just once on holiday. Llanidloes to Machynlleth on the mountain road. Then down to Talybont and back via the Nant-y-Moch reservoir. The mountain road and the valleys on the return plus the...

I love the guitar work of Brent Mason (of "hotwired" fame), Danny Gatton and I always loved the country-inspired licks in the solos of guitarists such as Steve Howe, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter et al. I would be grateful for any suggestions of cool,...

I am flying to Europe (Italy) next month, and on my return several options were offered on my airline web site to go through London Heathrow. The tax for simply going through the airport & changing planes was $409!!!!!!!!!! Instead I will endure an 12 hour overnite layover in Dusseldorf for $70. WTF is up with LHR?

Many thanks to Jason Gould and everyone at Naim for a very interesting and informative day. Also thanks to Andy Day at audio-T, Swindon, for organising it. Highly recommended if you've never been. No tour of the R&D area however. According to Jason new products are due to be launched in January. No details though.

Monday is Veteran’s Day in the US. My father-in-law is a US Army vet that grew up in New York City and fought during WWII in France and Germany. He turns 89 later this month. 70 years ago he was a high school teen with his future in front of him that did the only thing that seemed right at the time; he enlisted in the army to help keep the world free. Today, he is a thin, frail man suffering from dementia. His army reunions in New York City used to consist of 30-40 proud vets. Now, there are...
