Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan In Session WAV CD rip.
Amazing blues playing, fantastic choice of songs, two great great blues guitarists, fine backing musicians, a musical feast. Add the conversations between tracks where their mutual respect and affection shines through, and this album is a complete gem, blues can't get much better than this.
Damn I’d love to hear the recording of Blues at Sunrise that King mentions, where he says he recorded it with Jimi and Janis, if that recording ever surfaces just take my wallet.
A truly great performance, which deserves to be included in anyone's list of classic blues albums.
I must admit that I have sometimes been spoiled by Naim. Would you consider it to be a good recording? Naim can be so revealing wherefore some recordings sound lacklustre compared to really finely refined recordings. It's sometimes really difficult for me to appreciate a recording unless it really grabs me by the gonads. I'd really appreciate your honest opinion.
Now Playing.......
Shelby Lynn - Just a Little Lovin' (Inspired by Dusty Springfield)
Streaming on NAS........ This is an album that should not be missed....... Shelby has a beautiful voice and guitar with 9 of the 10 tracks linked to Dusty.

Bearing in mind that this is something of a jam session, recorded for a Canadian TV station, the sound quality is surprisingly good.
What really counts though, is the, very much in evidence, mutual respect these two great guitarists had for each other, resulting in
a glorious "live" album.
It's available on Tidal, and for not too many pennies over on The River.

Hi Minh, I had to go back and listen to a couple of tracks to take a view, I’d been so dragged into the music I hadn't thought of SQ. To me it sounds pretty good, well recorded, instruments separated well, the Strat and the Flying V easily distinguishable, I wouldn’t buy it as a demo disk, but the recording is good and the performances rock hard. Hope that helps, Eoin.

Another tip from the show and just fished out of the big river for pennies.
Best described as Gospel Blues this is a belter. At times BH reminds me of Stevie Wonder - praise indeed. You have got to be OK with Gospel though to enjoy this.
Great great album... was just enjoying this on the weekend.
Been playuing it in the car a lot recently.
Not the greatest Buddy Guy album but Fever brings back a lot of memories
Earlier this evening a bit of Elton John with Goodbye Yellow Brick Road a classic and then followed up with various tracks from The Rod Stewart Sessions 1971-1998 a 4 disc set. This is a collection of recordings some in embryonic form, some alternative takes and some well known songs that are stripped of the cloying arrangements ( I'm looking at you "Sailing" ) that alienated some fans. Its easy to forget what a voice he had

Now finishing off with the self titled album from Doris Troy released on Apple.Produced by George Harrison I bought this for the Beatles connection and was not disappointed.Typical of the period it boasts Clapton ,Frampton Stills Starr,Preston Voorman Russell ,Delaney& Bonnie and said producer as her backing band.Amazing, her soulful vocals still cut through the heavier than normal backing.

Ese and the Vooduu People - Dynamite, WAV download.
1st listen, an album championed by Kevin_W and Stevee_S has to be worth a go, so I've ordered the CD and downloaded a WAV copy from BandCamp. Great stuff, I can only echo Stevee, she’s got a great torchy bluesy voice, and she nails these songs. This’ll get a few plays in the near future, lovely stuff, if they’ve got a gig when I’m in t’Smoke I’d love to see them live.
Thanks for your support Eoin, you should get your CD tomorrow.
Would love to see you at a gig - listings are on the Planet Vooduu website - and more are being added alll the time.
Hopefully at some point we'll get to your part of the world!
Now Playing.......

Playing this myself before I call it a night.
Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm With You. On CD from 2011. I bought this a month or so ago and have been spinning it often. Tonight I realized it completes my RHCP studio discography - all 11 albums. Interestingly, the band also has 11 compilation albums.

One of my favourite PF albums. Despite having the original vinyl release as well as an early CD copy, I don’t get a satisfactory sound - it always seems slightly occluded as if it were being played behind curtains.

Interesting. I’ve always found my first press cd quite good. It’s DSOTM where I’ve never found a nice, dynamic and not too ‘toppy’ version. The 1974 BBC Live version is better imho.

1st run, sounds so far like a version which will be enjoyed...
Very good album from Fantastic Negrito, helps to wake up when driving to work!
Listened to this before going to sleep last night. Quite nice grooving music...
It’s a shame why they brought out this one. You quite often hear the breathing and the pedal use of Pollini. The playing is quite their, but the side noises don’t belong there it’s not Keith Jarrett...., while his noises are also annoying...
So switched now to a nice trio album of Marc Copland...
Miles: Quiet Nights.
Great album from Four Big Guitars from Texas from 1985 - 4 guitarists in the band no less ! - Playing on Vinyl on Demon Records
