Finally got round to getting this after many mentions from Ewemon. Great sounding album. First listen and I find it very chilled out, I’m sure more listens will reveal the beauty of this album

Seeing a few posts of DSOTM on here in recent days whetted my appetite for a bit of Floyd. I elected to go with this one.

Recommended as a scorching soul country blues crossover.

Prompted by posts on a new Hendrix release, I thought I dig out this box-set.  Now giving disc 3 a play which, among other songs, has a live version of Little Wing  - one of my favourite Jimi songs.

Leonard Cohen - Recent Songs - vinyl (1979)

I bought this today from the Canal Trust Shop for £6. It is in really good condition, and sounding amazingly good in a very laid back way (Humbled in Loves makes you wonder whether it is supposed to be played at 45 rpm!). Wiki describes it as a return to his folk tradition with Jazz and Oriental influences. Very real and engaging. My collection started with his first “Love Songs” on CD.

I got this from our Canal Trust Book shop for £6! Playing now with the demo 552DR. Sounds amazing. Fingers crossed that it continues without problems. No expert on precise identification.

It's a good 'un Phil. Trust me, it'll knock the likes of the umpteen anniversary, MFSL pressings etc. for six.

Having listened to the first side again and the CD (Harvest CDP 7 460012) I have the say I prefer the vinyl which has more sharpness and clarity. Anyone know if my CD which is not remastered is ok?
