On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
ALANP posted:Prince - Come
Never heard much of a Prince other than the singles. I then saw him play with Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Dhani Harrison when George Harrison was inducted into a Rock,n,Roll hall of fame, unfortunately after his death. They play while my guitar gently weeps, Mike Mann does the middle guitar solo, note perfect to the Clapton original. The final solo by Prince was unrehearsed, he just blows them away. Never knew he as that good a guitarist....well worth a watch on Youtube.
1994 - CD (rip)...
Give Out But Don’t Give Up - Primal Scream
On CD:-
Fleetwood Mac - The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac
Gorillaz: Human (Deluxe) - 24-bit – 96.00 kHz HD Download.
Second play of this album and even though there are some really good tracks on there, its not holding my attention as much as the previous albums have (which are superb IMHO), and perhaps seems a little baggy and inconsistent in comparison. Mmm, maybe a few more plays will help - hope so, as it sounds very good.
1995 - CD (rip)...
Georg Böhm (1661 – 1733) was a German Baroque organist and composer. He is notable for his development of the chorale partita and for his influence on the young J. S. Bach.

Enjoying this album - Dio and Blackmore on fine form - "Stargazer " is epic.......Love Blackmores solo on it. Playing on Vinyl on Polydor Records from 1976
Now Playing.......
Van Morrison - No Guru No Method No Teacher
Streaming from TIDAL....... A mention from EOINK and GIANLUIGI MAZZORANA had me place this album in the Tidal queue since I had not listened to it previously, now taking it out for a spin. Two Tracks in and Van is sounding mighty fine!
Massive Attack: Heligoland - CD Rip.
First play of this album as I missed it first time round. Always really liked Robert Del Naja’s cover painting.
2007 - CD (rip)...
UNKLE - War Stories

Classic. I helped myself to all the missing Chen bros cds the other week and paid 50 for all of them. The live at the social is a cracker if you are a 90s raver like me

Melody Gardot - Worrisome Heart (2006) - CD
I spotted this for £1 at a Tewkesbury Charity shop after see my consultant yesterday. I have seen it posted before but had not realised it was her debut and actually it was made and first released independently of a record company. She says
So my only intention, or my only goal, was to make a record that at the end of the day I was happy with. And the way that the instrumentation was decided on was based on what I heard in my head, and what I thought would feel the best. So I guess having it released is kinda like having somebody publish your diary in a way!"
It is sounding amazing as is my collection as a whole after putting a Powerline on the 300DR. The demo 552 just needs the PL in the amp whereas the 282 did not. Full marks for a DIY production she controlled.

Can’t say I used to hit the dance floor but always loved their creativity and mix of rhythm and sounds. I have most of their albums but it was a toss between this one and Exit Planet Dust and I just fancied listening to Setting Sun.

Cheers Tony - Your last post made me grab this Chemicals album. " Galvanize " is brilliant and I do like " The Big Jump" with the late Mark E Smith on vocal duties - "Left Right " is a wicked too.
Playing on Compact disc - Wishing you a very musical weekend mate
