Tomasz Stanko (trumpet), Marcin Wasilewski (piano), Slawomir Kurkiewicz (double-bass), and Michal Miskiewicz (drums).
Streaming on NAS........ Some comfort music before bedtime and to quote the ECM description, "He triggers memories of his first heroes - memories of Miles, memories of Chet Baker - in his lonesome, soulful soliloquies." Just perfect........
Triggered by a Facebook post of somebody I had a Rava evening and now a morning. It started with a great album....
The. This album, which is more specific....
And now this morning this fine duo album...
Genius: The Best Of Warren Zevon. On CD from 2002. An aptly titled album AFAIC. Almost 15 years since we lost WZ at age 56. Still miss the unique blend of jaunty depravity with which he expressed his musical talents.
Timo Lassy: Live with Lassy
In Our Time on R4 where they discussed Middlemarch. Interesting to dip into something like this, the serendipity of radio. You could sense the tension in the studio about the merits, or otherwise, of the character of Will.
It's a long time since I've read it but I've made a mental note to read it again.

I’m re-sealing our marble tiled floor in the hall and kitchen today, which will involve hours on my hands and knees with a tiny roller and brush. It’s a sunny day, so ideal for this horrible task. And what better accompaniment than Beethoven piano sonatas, played by the wonderful Angela Hewitt.
As It's a beautiful Spring morning in the UK and Summer round the corner what better than The Four seasons and Nigel Kennedy's interpretation of it - Playing on Compact Disc
Songs like perfect life are so great.....I am enjoying this album every-time I hear it. Absolutely recommended for everybody who doesn't know it yet...

There's been a lot of love on the forum for the studio album, so, here's the "In Concert" version which plopped through the
letterbox this morning.
For a few pennies on The River, why wouldn't you?
