On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:

Restoration: The Songs of Elton John and Bernie Taupin
Streaming on TIDAL....... A recent mention from EOINK had me place this album in the TIDAL queue. It fits in with my morning listen to Lee Ann Womack who covers 'Honky Cat' on this album.........
Hope you enjoy it.
Led Zeppelin - II, WAV CD rip
From the SHM box-set. Listening to the new firmware on the Nova, using a couple of albums I know well. I’ve probably raved about this before, they were such a great band. It’s easy to argue for JPJ and Bonzo being the greatest rock rhythm section ever, both masters of their instrument, amazinf understanding and interplay, both also often heard taking a lead line. Add Percy’s ability to sing the blues, be the archetypal rock wailer and also croon a ballad, Page’s fantastic guitar lines, and have them all having an almost telepathic understanding. Then add some of the best rock numbers ever written starting with Whole Lotta Love and you get one of the great rock albums.
Carmen Gomes.
Their 1951 album.
A couple of beers with the boys outside a bar listening to tales of wolves, capricious women and the smell of the first grass cut along the dark brown of the freshly plowed fields. Good evening spring. See you soon summer!
1968 - UK (mono) pressing...
Lizz Wright - Dreaming Wide Awake
Why? Just wanted to relax and this just hits the spot.
From Steven Wilson album, to mixed by Steven Wilson...
(1975)
Because I wanted to listen to The Tops doing some of their early stuff live.
The Rolling Stones Live in Leeds 1982.
Ah, the power of suggestion ................. a chat with ALANP a few days ago, where we realised we had each been to this epic concert
in Roundhay Park in Leeds, the final gig in their 1982 European tour.
Couldn't resist visiting Fleabay, and getting hold of the Blu-ray and here 'tis, playing away quite LOUDLY, and making me wonder just
where the years (and hair!) have gone.

One of my favourite post Fish Marillion albums, I hope SW has done a good job with what was already a fine album.
Alt-j ‘Relaxer’. Like much of their stuff, hovers between wilfully eccentric and richly eclectic. More cerebral perhaps than musical but it’s a grower. Like!

Manage the second grass cut today and enjoyed the sweet smell of Choisya (aka Mexican Orange blossom), but missed out on ....... Well at my age......, and gardening is about creating and enjoying a visual landscape bathed in sun light.
Phil
Adrian Boult and the LPO - Bach Brandenburg Concertos 2,4,6 WAV CD rip
Still testing the Nova, I love the Brandenburgs. Light and beautiful, rhythmic, yet repaying close concentration, they’re pleasure on a disc. Boult gets fine performances from the LPO, the music flows along and I’m ashamed to admit to some air-conducting. Despite the cover shot above, I only have the disc with 2,4,6 on, not the full set, when the nice chap at discogs posts this evening’s order that gap’ll be filled.
Filipe posted:MDS posted:Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - VinylReminded to play mine also. Quite demanding to get everything from it in my experience, but 252 excelling.
Mike, did you see my message?
Phil
Nope. Sorry, Phil. Will look it out now.
You really have to stop car and engine. Forget about noises, bills, news or people cheap chats. Everything is vibrating. Life's raising.
Very relaxing, which is just what's needed after a long day.
Joni Mitchell, Hejira, WAV CD rip
Another run out for this, this time on the Nova rather than vinyl. As I said a few days ago, lyrics that reach the height of true poetry sung brilliantly by Joni, supported by some of the best gun for hire musicians, one of the masterpieces of rock music.
Paul McCartney - Tug of War, followed by George Harrison - Brainwashed

A couple of official live gig recordings of Mandolin Orange. Never been released.

I suppose I could do the calculation of how well the £9.50 all those years ago compares to the inflation adjusted price of today ..........
............. nah, not worth it, and anyway, my daughter's treating me!

Great! Thanks Ewemon!
