What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIV)

On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
With Saga Norén back on UK TV screens in the final series of The Bridge, it seemed a good time to give this a play through.

Streaming from Qobuz. It’s the first time I’ve heard this album, and can see why it’s highly rated.
Relaxing, finely crafted pop music with hints of Robyn Hitchcock or Eels or - as my wife asked me - "Is that Tom Petty?"
Listened to Tord Gustavsen The Ground this morning, picture wouldn’t upload...
Nice bought it later
Good record
Sometimes feels a bit like nervous music, but at the good moment I like it
Jack Ladder - Blue Poles
Sometimes a bit as if Nick Cave sang songs by the Talking Heads... ;-)
Bart & The Bedazzled - Blue Motel
Elegant 80ies influenced pop ... Metronomy comes to mind.
This is a huge treat. At first I thought it was far below Live in Hamburg - but at some point the PRAT was going throug( the roof. Will be interesting to see what happen with the ND555 on this......will be in my top 5 for this year I guess....
Now Playing.........
Rhiannon Giddens - Tomorrow Is My Turn
Streaming on TIDAL...... Going with a mention from SKIP and NOTNAIM MAN in the "what was the last CD you bought" thread and taking Rhiannon Giddens out for a spin. This being her 2015 debut album produced by T-Bone Burnett. First couple of tracks are sounding mighty fine, great vocals and backing music with a southern influence......
My fav Mike Zito set. Great album.
1st time, nice full sound...
Having noted the (musical) merits of this album on another thread yesterday, I thought I'd give it a spin.

You mean it has musical merits as well? I shall have to listen to it.
Live REM - From 1984 - Playing on Compact Disc - Very good sound for a bootleg.
One Roxy album led to another....
2015 - CD(rip)...
Camel - Moonmadness. One of their finest IMHO.
Fabulous album by The Sisters of Mercy - Epic tracks in Dominion - This Corrosion and Lucritia My Reflection
Playing on Vinyl on Merciful Records -1987

Really enjoyed this album, good music to have in the background but every now and then dip in again....
Ry Cooder & Manuel Galban - Mambo Sinuendo.
After all the Ry Cooder action of the last couple of days, I thought I'd re-visit my Cooder library, and found this seldom played album.
A purely instrumental outing, Ry recaptures the Cuban lounge bar vibe, in the company of Buena Vista guitar maestro Manuel Galban.
1st run....
On aged mono Reprise vinyl
Why? Perfect relaxing music after a busy weekend. Cool, sophisticated and laid back.

Rhiannon Giddens - Freedom Highway
Streaming on TIDAL......... following with Rhiannon's second solo album, fantastic voice & lyrics.....
