I agree TC. A personal favourite compilation back in the day and one that was usually on call for any kit demos. I haven't played my copy for a good many years though, so a nice reminder to dig it out and give it a clean and a play.
Grace Jones - Island Life - CD
Just got mine ordered from Discogs for £3.50 including delivery. Listening now at high volume and loving it! It’s a really good test of the boxes, even if an acquired taste.
I learned from Darke Bear that the SuperCap (DR) needs space above and below. Also my RP10 TT PS messes up the SuperCap and even the 300 Head! The RP10 TT PS really made the bass hard ( it was to the side on a small coffee table). So what started out as a spring clean and disastrous swap of the SuperCap DR and 555DR forced me to start a thread about SuperCap DR position.
Phil
What a phenomenal trumpet, trombone ......... player he is !
1997 - NAS(wav)...
Inspired by another thread, I felt like listening to “Diesel Power”.
A favourite from many years ago (released around 1962) - I used to have the lp.
A classic with some wonderful Eric Dolphy.
Joe Walsh
The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get - CD Rip
Classic Joe Walsh.
Edward
Playing on Compact Disc - Magical and sad as it was Ali's last album before he died agreat loss for world music and Mali.
The Vulgar Boatmen - You and Your Sister
Lunchtime guitars play cheering tunes with just the right amount of bite.

Playing on Compact Disc - The Bryds country rock album from 1968 and they pulled it off with aplomb and how couldn't they with such talent as Gram Parsons on vocals.
King Tubby.
Noticed a few Christmas cobwebs around. This'll blow em out those corners.
Sam Rivers - A new conception
Great jazz by the underappreciated sax player. Recorded in 1966.
- Bass – Herbie Lewis
- Drums – Steve Ellington
- Piano – Hal Galper
- Tenor Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone, Flute – Sam Rivers
Now playing........
Bill Frisell - Good Dog, Happy Man

Streaming on NAS........... an album that puts a smile on my face, and just what the doctor ordered on this dark and cold morning! Life is sweet and so is the music!
A very string record from Christian. He really creates a voice through his trumpet. His three album output last year was a bit much and put him in a bit of a status quo. But I am sure he will continue to be a string and modern voice, going forward...
First got this African Head Charge. Off The Beaten Track album in the early 90s. A compilation of sorts. Replaying on a friends dads supersystem I just loved the organic sounds and rhythms. Lost the cd in the midst of time - until recently hunting online and noting some ridiculous prices for an original copy. Got this a short while back for peanuts.
