On the eve of a new year, it's time for a new thread.
Last year's thread can be found here:
Anyhow, here's two and a half minutes of perfection from The Beatles. John a bit chunky, Paul with his (in)famous chipped tooth, George cool af, Ringo slightly bored:
^ Does anyone know... is this shot in Sefton Park?
Susannah McCorkle - Sabia
Triple vinyl released 2016 - Thompson enlisted Jeff Tweedy’s production skills in an effort to shake up his own creative approach to making records. Fine album ????
Oasis - Definitely Maybe. Oasis - (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
Watched the Beeb documentary about the beginnings of Oasis, and had quite forgotten just how good they were, early on, at least.
Happy Listener posted:On vinyl - to my ears echoes of Barb Jungr in her voice.
Have you heard this excellent album of Ida doing a fab take on Neil Young classics. ????
Shakura S’Aida - Time
Belter!
Playing on Compact Disc - Raw Reggae from Prince Far I
Because I like it.
(1967)
Disraeli Gears
Some great, classic Cream to keep the evening alive.
Released 2002 - GivIng disc 2 a spin, one of his Bobness best sets. ????

Give us a clue please Chief Chirpa!
In May, a restaurant and hairdresser took calls from Google Duplex, a voice assistant software unveiled to an amphitheatre of developers in California. The exchanges were mundane, and, therefore, a success. The software was programmed to mimic natural human speech, including "mmhs" and "aahs," and respond conversationally to questions from a maître d' or stylist. The demo drew gasps from the crowd. It was a milestone towards the point at which we'll no longer be able to distinguish between human and machine. Objekt's second LP, Cocoon Crush, seems engaged in a similar process—that is, of making techno that sounds as unrobotic as possible.

Riyl Dopplereffekt, Martyn, Aphex, Blawan, Skee Mask, Autechre...
OK and thanks.
Playing on Vinyl - Brilliant final album by Big Star.
Bentley Caldwell - The Place That I Call Home
What a talent.
Does anyone know if was actually Bentley who visited the Music Room a few weeks ago, or someone playing silly bu**ers?

Don't know for sure Nigel but I think he was on tour here at the time so it is quite possible however if memory serves me well Dave was the first to notice. Would have been nice if he had done. Still wish he would release the disc as a proper manufactured cd and not the cd-r that was shipped by various suppliers. If you haven't gotten a copy yet I would recommend that you don't wait too long as the chances are he will be signed to a major label and the above album may get "deleted".

Yes it would be cool if Bentley had noticed the chatter about him on here and actually paid us a visit.
I have had my (CD-R) copy for a while now, and as it is ripped, I hope I don’t need to visit the physical disc again.
The recording isn’t the best and I can hear a background (tape?) buzz. But that doesn’t really matter as I listen to it now because the music is just stunning.
Blues
Marie Davidson - Working Class Woman
1971 - UK first pressing...
Escuchela, la ciudad respirando...
The beauty of Tidal, I was listening to Felt who did a cover of Roger Whittaker and I thought, gosh in haven’t heard (or thought) of Roger in years.
Not one I’d be rushing out to buy but some of the songs really bring me back.
And some demand the ”next” button, like “dirty old town”!
