Because Prof Loki is singing highlights in her choir.
Takes me to my humble origins in a lake of rock harmony.
Emily Barker and the Red Clay Halo: Despite the Snow: vinyl, 2013
Poetry set to free-spirited folk music. Free flowing rhythmical lyrics for the soul. You might recall 'Nostalgia' the theme tune to Kenneth Branagh's award winning English version of Wallander.
Ordered direct from Emily and signed by her.
Just finished listening to a 3 disc set compiled from three different Prince's Trust concerts from the '80s.Some great performances ,but as I know because I taped the gigs on VHS, the visuals certainly helped in some instances ,as the sound is not top notch.Still it was for a good cause.

^ Does anyone know... is this shot in Sefton Park?
Chief, this was shot on location at Chiswick House,Chiswick, London.
Remember watching a Paul Weller/Jam documentary recently and the group taped one of their videos for a single there.Weller said any excuse to copy The Fabs.
Alan, thanks a million, it had been bugging me for a while. It's ages (decades) since I lived in Liverpool, and the since-restored Palm House in Seffie Park, not far from our house, was in a bad way then.
As well as 'Paperback Writer', I've also seen a performance of 'Rain' (the even better b-side, ofc) at the same location. And yes, now you mention it, as well as using it for one of his own promos, I think Weller's borrowed George's haircut, as well as his 'Taxman' for 'Start', ofc.
Johnny Hodges - Jazz Masters 35.

Ray Lamontagne - Ouroboros (2016). I'm a late comer to his music. He is so talented.
Listening to Elvis’ version of “Fever” last week got me exploring Peggy Lee. This one is very very good.

Emily Remler - Catwalk
It seems this album is now quite rare, but it's worth seeking out if you're interested in jazz guitar. This is quite a development from her second album, Takes Two, but I guess the clue was in the title of her third album, Transitions. This is a particularly accomplished album.
PS sorry about the image, but it's the best I could find online. At least the rating is correct.

Remains one of my favourite and most played LPs. Watched the documentary "Little Girl Blue" recently.
Always wonder what work she would have recorded if she'd been around longer.

Wasn't sure if listening to string quartets in an office context would be a good experience. But I have to say works very fine on my mobile setup and motivates to be productivity in the office...
