I like this one. It combines a healthy sense of humor with great playing, exactly what you want in a live context. Especially the number Titties & Beer is funny...
My 1967 vinyl copy which to my ears still sounds better than any of the 4 other vinyl versions / remix etc that I have in my collection.
Playing on Compact Disc - Mellow US Hip Hop from New Yorks De la Soul from 1989.
Maureen's got five sisters...
A promising first song, let's me want more of it...
In it's typical haunting style. I like the music, but tend to not listen to more albums in one go, as the style is so specific....
Nelly Furtado - Loose, a charity shop find yesterday, and jolly good it is too
Playing on Compact Disc - Volume 4 of Gurus infusion of mellow hip hop and jazz.

It really is, and one of Timbaland's best too. Not mine, but I must've heard that album about a million times chez Chirpa.
Edit: had to look this one up for some reason...
Nice vest.

Playing on Compact Disc - A fine album of The Stratmaster from 1978
The Red Hot Chili Peppers - Greatest Hits, another charity shop purchase. This covers their more popular period from '91 until '02, and although the sound is a bit compressed, the music speaks for itself.

Alan,
Like wise I got my copy a couple of months ago at a charity shop for 50p and as you say some great tracks.Give It Away is a favourite.
Really like getting charity shop Compact Discs as your helping a charity and for 50 p getting some good albums in the collection.
Cheers Ian
Ian Siegal - All The Rage.
The current release from Ian, arguably UK's best blues singer / guitarist.
OK, I've been a fan for years, and he can do no wrong for me, whether solo, or with his band, but if you're into blues at all,
you owe yourself a listen ............. though sadly, I can't see it on Tidal.
Playing on Compact Disc - Nice enough compilation of Middle Eastern stuff
Original (I think) vinyl bought secondhand years ago - Music and Highfly are truly awesome.
I must confess I've never really played it all - tends to come out when i want those particular tracks.
Quite a lot of noise/crackles - must give it a spin on the record cleaner....though I always wonder if there is a danger of making things worse.
