Just arrived from Blix Street:-

I must be mellowing,as this style(presentation) should be all I dislike, but her voice transcends any problems I might have.

On the Miles set? None, but the deal is just too good to pass up, ordered it today from amazon.uk. Lots of complaints so as it comes to poor packaging and glue residue on the discs but I'll take the risk.

What? It was free? That's the only deal that makes sense if you already own them all. I'm obviously missing something here.....

Well, for 71 discs at GBP1.50 per disc - about as close as you can get to free, plus DVD plus booklet and mini LP cover art. Cool

Ah got the MFSL Meddle at last then Miles.
Can you see if yours is "see through"? Mine started skipping on one track and whilst inspecting it I noticed I could see the printed side outlines from the gold side.

There is nothing wrong with that, many of my gold CDs are solid and you can't see through but there are quite a few, both MoFi and DCCs that are almost completely see through. It must be skipping for a different reason.

Some missing DCCs:

GZS1038 Creedence Bayou Country
GZS1046 Coltrane, John Soultrane
GZS1064 Creedence Green River
GZS1072 Jimmy Smith The Unpredictable
GZS1110 Jefferson Starship Red Octopus

... and some missing MoFi's:

UDCD507 Blind Faith Blind Faith
UDCD524 Jethro Tull Stand Up
UDCD592 Torme,M/Rich Together Again For The First Time
UDCD608 Clapton, Eric Just One Night
UDCD679 Kinks You Really Got Me

OK Miles, thanks.
I can't see any defects or marks, so a bit of a mystery.

Bit of retail therapy.

Mountain Goats: The Life Of the World To Come. Really impressed on first listens.

Golden Smog: Best of.... Anything with Jeff Tweedy is going to be alright by me.

Aimee Mann: The Forgotten Arm. Mediocre fare to be honest.

Beatles: Rubber Soul remaster

Horslips: The Tain and Book Of Invasions remasters.

Dire Straits Brothers In Arms and Love Over Gold Remasters (for 'er indoors)

I'd rather spend ~$160 on music I didn't already have, but each to their own, I guess. Enjoy!
