Mike Westbrook's Glad Day: Settings of William Blake Poems is apparently winging its way to me as I type according to the email from HMV. I listened to it on Spotify several times and am convinced that it will sound stupendous through my system. Time will tell.

Having read some good comments on the forum, I've ordered this on an 'ordinary' CD and on a expensive 'gold' CD to see if there's a difference.

Nigel - can you let us know your thoughts. This will be an interesting one as I think the ordinary CD is quite good. Look forward to your views.

Lontano

Just listening to the 'ordinary' cd now, and I'd agree that it does sound quite good so far.

Unfortunately, just checked my e-mails and Diverse have said that they're out of stock at the moment and that it might be a week or so before they can supply it.

But I'd be happy to let you know my thoughts on the differences once it's received.

Please let us know what you think; I don't want to influence your view in any way, but I'm curious to know what you think of the best elpee made in 1970s and surely one of the greatest works of the 20th century.
