Having seen a few members playing this, thought I'd give it a go also, and I'm not disappointed.

Thought you might ask. Bet you can guess who. Uncle Steve.

The last in the series of CD singles featuring a cover version and an original.

This last CD comes in a special limited edition box which contains Cover Version VI in a picture sleeve, a 12 page booklet, and 5 empty picture sleeves for all of the previous singles.

Sorry Jeff - Steve Wilson from Porcupine Tree. He has been slowly releasing (amongst all his other projects) a series of CDR's. Each CDR contains 2 tracks - a cover version and an original. This is the last in the series of six and comes also with a set of covers for the other five that were originally released in a plain plastic wallet.

Looks like a great selection of year-end favourites.

How is the Cave/Ellis?

Indeed it is. I just bought a bunch of stuff that had rated highly in year-end lists, but that I hadn't heard. I do it most years. "The Onion" AV Club is always a source if interesting ideas, I find.

I haven't listened to the Cave/Ellis yet. Someone else on this forum recommended it a while back. I'll let you know what I think. (I just noticed that iTunes has classified this CD as "unclassifiable". This is promising Smile .)

Just ordered that myself. If that's how Mr W views himself no wonder he's so gloomy ;-)

Played all of the remastered Coma Divine last night and reminded myself of why they grabbed me so hard in the first place. What music, and such great production.

Bruce,

White Lunar is a keeper. Moody, bleak, atmospheric music for the most part. Much like the movies that Nick has written for. Very engaging. Recommended. Don't expect Grinderman or D.L.D.

Cheers,

Winky

Cheers

I like Cave when he is being moody and bleak! Grinderman did not do it for me.

Well, then you'll really like White Lunar. I like Nick in all his guises. One of the most important artists of the past few decades.

I just picked up Carl Cox - Black Rock Dessert.

Awesome dynamics and punch underpinning every track.

Never been keen on coxy in past but this is really good modern electronic music at it's most cutting edge.

I know he is only a DJ but he does have a way of playing tracks and turning it to art form.
