Bobo Stenson - Underwear Smile

Bought this recently myself. It is a real grower

Thanks Gary, can't wait to get the album. I've got "declaration of dependence" which is a great album. When I get this I'll decide whether to buy "quiet is the new loud"

Long weekends & too much time on your hands = spending $'s you shouldn't. You only live once.

Elbow: Seldom Seen Kid At Abbey Road

Kingsbury Manx: Aztec Discipline and The Kingsbury Manx Let You Down

Iron And Wine: Around The Well. Two CD's of B Sides and unreleased tracks that is rather better than that description usually suggests.

Gary, I remember you saying you were going to get Riot On An Empty Street after I'd posted it once again. I play it a lot, and I'm glad you like it.

Flettster, It's a great album, a little more fleshed-out than the simple style of Declaration of Dependence.

Saying that, Quiet Is The New Loud is still their best album for me - a brilliant record and one of my favourites.

Yes 'Relayer' 250096 (original master - Tapes by Genaro Rippo) I hope this is one of, or perhaps the best pressing to get, but would be interested to know if there are better versions. Much less harsh than the 90's remaster.

Underworld 'Beacoup Fish' 5 track promo CD. No special reason, but at 99p+ £1 P&P, I couldn't resist.

The HMV sale is coming up with a few goodies for me:

Kaiser Chiefs - Yours truly, angry mob
Elbow - Asleep in the back
Elbow - Cast of thousands

For £4 each, bargains I think.

So you went for some smooth jazz then Mongo. That winelight was the first jazzy album I ever bought all the way back in 1980. It was a tough listen then - now it is like drinking ribena (not meant as a bad thing). Upfront by Sanborn ain't bad either.

Hi.

Yes, I took the advice and have ended up pleasantly surprised.

Though for the first couple of listens to 'winelight' I thought I was stuck in an elevator Winker.

Since then though it's grown on me a lot. Not least because of the superb sound quality.

Still struggling with Sanborn at the moment and can't get into Herbie at all.

It is enought to get me more interested in the sax jazz thing though, a whole new field to explore.

Cheers, Paul.
