Adrian and Fred:

You guys are a 'bad' influence. I was in Singapore for a conference and could not resist picking up a couple of double CD albums. Winker Big Grin

Got these two CDs at 'That CD Shop' along Scott's Road. Could no longer locate HMV along Orchard Road.

Haim,

I'll have to pass, think Louis was married 3 or 4 times.

Help.

Adrian:

There is some really loud clapping coming from the speakers on the left hand side when I play Keith Jarrett's 'Whisper Not'. The sound is so forward that it is almost jumping out of the speakers! Must be someone with large hands! Winker

Finally tracked down an original release of Grace Jones 'Slave to the Rhythm' (really a Trevor Horn album). After buying two copies of the appalling 'Island Masters' release, wrongly labeled as the original release, I got this from a US seller on Ebay.

The 'Island Masters' version removes the link sections, talking and interviews between tracks, has a vocal track removed from one song, and fades out one track half way through. I really can not imagine what was going through the head of whoever did the remaster thinking that people would only want part of the album, and that messed with anyway.

I also pre-ordered the new Sun Kil Moon (Mark Kozelek) "Admiral Fell Promises" album, with free CD from Caldo Verde's website, will have to wait a couple of months for that.

Is this box set worth having Miles. I have the Riverside and Verve box sets, together with the remastered Village Vanguard 3CD set.

I've heard that the recording quality of the Secret Sessions is really poor.
