I have cancelled 'First Song' and replaced it with this:
For a little extra, one gets so much more of Charlie Haden. These box sets are really good value for money.

Two this week.
Richard Hawley 'False Lights From The Land EP'. Just 3 new tracks but the closer is a gem.
Micah P Hinson 'And The Pioneer Saboteurs'. Somewhat hard to clasify; 'gothic alt.country' perhaps. Sweeping strings, Cash-like baritone, acoustic songs and a few minutes of fuzzy guitar feedback that echo Wilco 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot'. Ambitious, and growing on me.

Mongo, please accept my sincere apologies.
I'm afraid it was my recommendation.
I thought I might just keep quiet & pretend it wasn't my post but riddled with guilt I had to own up.
Sorry mate it wasn't for you.
Cheers

Lol.
Hi Flettser.
Happy to see such an upstandingly honest young chap
Please forgive yourself; It's my many years that are the problem.
In any case some of the tracks are fine indeed. I think I was expecting a more uber-chilled collection.
And I also do love the Saltwater track so I'm going to try to find the extended version cd.
Cheers, Paul.

a play on words by music company's to increase sales during the Folk Boom! Interesting side note, someone asked me the other day if i listened to New (NU?) Folk? I didin't have a clue what they were on about. I don't listen to old folk was my reply....
