Hi Flettser.
Happy to see such an upstandingly honest young chap
Please forgive yourself; It's my many years that are the problem.
In any case some of the tracks are fine indeed. I think I was expecting a more uber-chilled collection.
And I also do love the Saltwater track so I'm going to try to find the extended version cd.
Cheers, Paul.
Phew Paul. Relieved we are still talking

WOW! Think this looks great!
Hmmm ... that too!
Sounds even better.
Hi Irwan,
What type of music is this?

KK
A mix of some good old fashioned jazz, blues and soul, with a touch of big band and occasional fender rhodes (sounds like the rhodes to me, but I may be wrong as I do not have the CD with me now as I make this post). Lots of swing to it! The Canadians are calling her the next Ella. Remains to be seen, but the girl can scat!

Muddy's got to be the bluesiest 'folk' singer ever.
a play on words by music company's to increase sales during the Folk Boom! Interesting side note, someone asked me the other day if i listened to New (NU?) Folk? I didin't have a clue what they were on about. I don't listen to old folk was my reply....
Would artists like Beth Orton and Terry Callier fall within that genre? I like them both, especially the latter.

"Bingo" The Steve Miller Band. The late Norton Buffalo's last outing with SMB. Some great blues tunes, tastefully executed.

What's the Tom Petty like?

Can't remember why I ordered this now.
But it arrived this morning so I'll be giving it a shot tonight.
Odd but I've no idea why I've got this, or what kind of music it is?

Recently heard this double album at a friends place. (thanks J.N.) Superbly recorded and not a duff track in sight. Each of the twelve tracks on 'Water In The Ground' has a different feel yet the album gels together as a whole very nicely.
The material on the other title, 'Dark Dream Midnight' also sounds excellent which makes this two cd package great value. I think we'll be hearing much more of Catherine MacLellan.

Horse Feathers: 'Thistled Spring'
Nice subtle whispery 'alt.country'. Iron and Wine with a string section.

This was pushed through the door today. An original Geffen Records (cd) 1996 from the States. Nice.

What are your thoughts on the album? I went looking for it on Amazon to hear a few snippets, but it is not yet available. A departure from 'Sweet Warrior'?

It's an acoustic album recorded live in '98. It's not listed in Richards main albums on AMG.
It is on Beeswing website.
I have just seen that Celtschmerz is a re-issue.
Dream Attic is the new album ,due for release in August. It's also a live album, but with a band. RT played a couple of tracks , they sounded good, seems a bit more like Sweet Warrior. Looking forward to the new album.
We are seeing him tour it in January.
