Hi Chris,
I hope you enjoy your cousin's drumming. It's one of my favourite Jack Bruce albums, when he was in a golden period of creativity.

Haim, you have chosen my two favourite Paolo Fresu albums. What lovely music.

Adrian,
They were better priced on JPC than in the US and I needed some more bodies added to the order to justify the shipping cost. They also balanced the order into 50/50 in terms of classical/jazz which makes it more politically correct...

As first seen here on the forum.

Elbow with a Mancunian accent (and produced by Guy Garvey). I'm rather underwhelmed so far.

Propaganda - A Secret Wish (Deluxe)
Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow.
As the sleeve notes quote: "Abba gone to hell" and "The children of Fritz Lang and Giorgio Moroder".
Fantastic remastering job that has taken away the paint-stripping treble from the original CD when played at the proper volume without knackering the sound. Amongst many magical moments, the bass synth riff at the end of Dr Mabuse is simply awesome.
Plus there's a second CD crammed with re-mixes including the 20 minute cassette-only mix they did of Duel/Jewel.
What a one-off this was.

Have you got the new re-masters of Bundles and Softs. I think many Soft Machine fans ignore these albums not realising just how good they are.
John makes some interesting comments in the sleeve notes about paying behind some musicians while playing along side others; both work, the trick is knowing which approach to take.
These are both excellent discs and very much worth a listen.

Todays purchase. I really like this even though it got a crap review from Pitchfork. It's Dubstep, but with lot's of different flavours. Disco to House.

Frankly the tracks I have heard from this so far are not good at all, very euro-pop, but I am unable to resist an Underworld limited edition and disc 2 having 'You Do Scribble' and 'Strumpet' on it, which have been fantastic on the live releases over the last few years is too much for me to pass on.
