After recommendations on these boards, i went out bought the latest NY. Big fan, but some of his stuff is a bit hit & miss.

the second is a Classic! Turn it up and just enjoy. If this doesn't get you into the blues then nothing will

After a couple of listens, it's good and pretty much pure chill but not exceptional. I'd expected more from Paterson Youth and Gilmour (with a bit of Bran too). Haven't listened to the 3D60 disc yet.

It is fine but unless you are a fan (Orb rather than Gilmour), it is far from essential. In fact I find the lack of contribution from David disappointing - some classic soaring guitar solos would not go amiss. Not something I would chill to but I quite enjoy driving around to it. I did not enjoy the 3D60 disc as much - think I should probably try it on the headphones as recommended.

Laurie Anderson 'Home of the Brave'
Very patchy, I got it for 'Late Show' with Adrian Belew on guitar, that is excellent, but most of the rest of it is awful. A few nice instrumental and short interlude tracks, but some dreadful arty 80's synth junk.
