That is quite a good site. His "top 50" of 2009 seems well considered. Thanks.

Jeff,
It is my mistake. I meant to post it under 'What are you listening to now?'. It is an old CD which I purchased years ago.

I was confused by the 8888DDL sticker site, I went there and it is rather strange. Lots of music but every one is accompanied by a strange turkey/pelican creature ... seriously.
Those Reference Recordings are excellent discs.

Thanks Bruce. I asked SWMBO what she might think of an album that might be "In The Heart Of The Moon meets Buena Vista Social Club". Her reply, "That can't be a real record, I think you're having a fantasy".
My birthday present conundrum is solved. Thank you!

JWM/Bruce that looks very interesting, unfortunately Spotify is only allowing 1 track to non premium types.
Good summary/precis Bruce.
Further investigation required.

It is pretty good, reminds me a lot of Ry Cooder's Talking Timbuktu as well.

Franz Liszt - Années de Pélerinage
SACD
Beautifully played, a joy to listen to (one of my best recordings) and a fabulous sound / recording quality.
