Working on my small Mario del Monaco / Renata Tebaldi collection. Adriana Lecouvreur to follow, but I still need to decide which version to get: theirs, or Scotto/Domingo.

Note to self: don't use WYSIWYG, cause it will rot your brains out...

Three new purchases: new recordings of Giordano's Fedora and Vivaldi's Hercules, plus the original issue of Colin Davis' La Boheme with Katia Ricciarelli and José Carreras! That last recording is available as a Philips Duo, but I think that great performances demand a great cover (and since it's not universally hailed as a classic, even sealed originals are quite affordable)!

First play for each ... a little disappointed with The Sandpiper (having thought this would be the one I'd really like) as it is a little too repetitive with that gorgeous melody The Shadow of Your Smile. ... Emily is a winner, though!

I haven't got past the first track on "peepshow" yet, but 3 successes out of 4 ain't bad.
