All a bit 4AD, or were at one time. 4AD compilation 'Lonely is an Eyesore' - I have it on vinyl and should have listened to it before getting the CD, no where near as good as I remembered, a bit weak really. Dif Juz 'Extractions' was a waste of money too, wet jangly 80's indie instrumentals, plus one track with Li Frazer squarking over it.
Brendon Perry 'Eye of the Hunter' is OK, and 'Ark' is a bit weak. Hope Dead Can Dance do get together again before long, as they are definitely greater than the sum of their parts, judging by their solo albums.

Please would you let us know how you get on with this recording. I'm totally wedded to the one I picked up in Oxford in 1988 (which has therefore become part of the 'soundtrack of my life' for those wonderful days!), and it would be good to know a reliable up-to-date edition of this music which I adore.

One play only but very nice, sort of dusty and rustic

Took an eternity to arrive but it finally did: Jessye Norman's 1984 recording of Schubert lieder. Some of Schubert's greatest art songs are here, including Erlkönig and Gretchen am Spinnrade, in very dramatic performances. Her voice, of course, was in its prime and spectacularly beautiful.

Just love BB King. I don't think that I've heard a bad album by him.

Great albums but these are not the best sounding versions. You should try and pick up the original McMaster versions.
