Bon Iver: Bon Iver. Very, very interesting, big step from For Emma, Forever

King Creosote and John Hopkins: Diamond Mine. Beguiling and beautiful.

Dolorean: The Unfazed.  An uncomplicated country-folk rock album, but with songwriting a notch above the norm. Wilco would be the closest example I can think of, and that is high praise from me!

Tango with a difference. IMO not as good as Lunatico, but still excellent.

Tim Buckley's 'Blue Afternoon', (deleted on CD some 20 years ago, so difficult to find).

Been meaning to get this for some time, very good.

EJ,

I haven't had a chance to litsen to the CD yet but this is my first listen of Sinopoli.

It would be interesting to compare to Lorin Maazel's ( with Berlin Phil and Cleveland Orchestra which is said to be so spctacularly bad in that one should experience it.) as well as Enrique Batiz/Royal Phil.

I'm out of touch with time and only familiar with NY Phil. under Bernstein. Since I am unfamiliar with Sinopoli's style, so I am not sure how much I can tell of it is him.

BTW, how's his Straus's Alpine Symphony?

Hi Kuma,

Recall is as a sumptuous reading (he was always good with Strauss) - but haven't listened to it for a long time, will do so one of these days and let you know.
