Huw,

Thanks for posting the Ane Brun 'live' release. After listening to a few songs, she has me hooked.

I found her via one of the HiFi magazines and since on Spotify. Her new album is her strongest - IMO. She has one other live album that I am aware of but I don't think it is quite as strong. Some of the covers don't seem to suit her as well.

Never heard of Alkan before, but this disc has got good reviews so I hope a good place to start. Also looking forward to the Debussy disc, which makes for great benchmarking of this pianist (although for difficult-to-play music, I have seldom heard a bad performance of the preludes, must be music that brings out the best in the pianist).

Cheers,

EJ

Kuma, thanks for the suggestion. Looking forward to this one (it's probably not the newest remastering, but EMI's first implementation of CEDAR was often less destructive than the one it used for the GROC series - just in case).

PS This is the 6th version of the Préludes in my collection.

Cheers,

EJ
