Good choice on the Nathaniel Rateliff album KK. It's a great album.
I've always been intrigued by this Black Keys release too. Never been brave enough to buy it though. I like rap/hip hop & love the Black Keys so I'm not quite sure what the problem is. Could you let me know what you think?

Big H - check out the You Tube vid (official) for Laying Traps (CBP).
I am trying to get time to go see them in May - apparently a truly astounding band to see live. Only gig is in London < for a change :-( >

After listening to the Mojo magazine CD, compiled by Paul Weller, I decided to invest in Declan O'Rourke...

Folkishness for me recently:
Andrew Bird: Break It Yourself
Bowerbirds: The Clearing
Both may be each artists' best so far. I'm especially enjoying the Bowerbirds. New Great Lakes Swimmers is also on order plus Lower Dens: Nootropic. Might go for the new Shins too-streamed online in a few places this week.
Bruce

What a wonderful album. Yes it's drum and bass, but probably the most soulful drum and bass you've ever heard.
The Welsh wizard has excelled himself.
