what was the last cd you bought?

so to get things off and running
queen--the highlander sound track

After two quiet months, a couple of CDs currently underway:

The Shins: Port of Morrow
..and very good it is too. A vaguely old fashioned pop-rock album with just a bunch of good tunes.
I've recently bought several; the remastered "Quadrophenia," Paul Weller's "Wake Up The Nation," Mobile Fidelity's "Candy-o" and "The Yes Album," a Japanese import of Keith Jarrett Trio's Standards Vol.1 (replacement for my old ECM copy which had a nasty skip during "God Bless The Child") and Queen's remastered "A Night At The Opera." Looking forward to the release of the remastered "Ziggy Stardust" in June.
A BHF purchase:-

The choice this year was between Harnoncourt III (with Prégardien as the evangelist), Gardiner (with Rolfe Johnson) and Koopman (with Dürmüller). Too difficult, given unlimited shelf space and more time to listen, I'd spring for all three. Gardiner has won out this time, mainly as I believe this particular issue won't stay in the catalogue for too much longer.

After reading an Article in HiFi Choice last month singing the praises of Richmond Fontaine and especially their album 'The High Country' I thought I'd give it a try, really interesting and a fantastic recording that is also available on vinyl, since then I've bought 2 more of their albums 'The Fitzgerald' and 'We Used To Think That The Highway Sounded Like A River'.

'Post To Wire' is excellent too, the alum that got me into Richmond Fontaine (although I have not yet heard High Country).
Latest purchase for me Cowboy Junkies 'The Wilderness'. Lovely, lovely.

Genesis In The Beggining ~ (black box) 2 x cd box-set 2007
Via Amazon (other sellers) £1.98 + £1.26 delivery
Bit of a lucky purchase at the price,
the cd's are not long: 47 minutes & 32 minutes, but the music is okay.
Although the recordings (mostly just a bit tape hissy) and mastering quality is fairly good it looks like the cd's were made on the cheap, and apart from the track listing there is no other infomation or booklet.
So i don't actually know when or where this was recorded.
Glad i bought it for the price though : )

I'm really excited by the Select albums after buying Select 4 a few months ago. First discovered Claude Challe after a posting from DustySox. Thanks Dusty.

Having found out I didn't actually have a copy, I bought one:-

Spiritualized - Sweet Heart Sweet Light

The latest record from Concerto Italiano explores the origins of the string quartet, in the early Italian baroque.
