What did you think? We are huge fans but don't own it. Our preferences lie firmly in the Wish You Were Here > Animals range > The Wall range.

I like it, a different take on certain songs, Gut Pratt on bass does a great job, good to have a mix of "newer" songs with the classic stuff, fortunately post Sid. Well worth the £4 inclusive I paid. Jumbo box and german made so it sounds fine too.

Grizzly Bear : Shields (2012). Very good, getting better every week...

Frightened Rabbit : Pedestrian Verse (2013). Very good, getting better every day....

Foxygen : We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors (2013). Nice psychedelic pop.

How To Dress Well : Total Loss (2012). Avantgarde songwriter with some electronics, better than others.

The Rolling Stones : Grrr! 2012). Old memories.
Japanese SHM-edition is expensive, but really better.

Thao and the Get Down Stay Down (2013) : We the Common. Folk rock songs with a very distinctive sound. No main stream.

John Paul White : The Long Goodbye (2013).
This man is half of The Civil Wars, who made the very nice CD Barton Hollow.
His singing performance on The Long Goodbye is imho not on the same high level of Barton Hollow.

Richter's Chopin Pieces.
A three-CD compilation of early Harvest Records groups. Good value at just £12.

Only just found this, somehow missed the release date.
As with all the MK solo stuff, you need to listen & listen again; the words & his play on words require (in places) some knowledge of the subject to "get it". This album is full of all sorts of emotion, feelings & mood especially is there in abundance. Its a lot more bluesy than previous materials & as usual his guitar work is exemplary. Not so that voice; I don't know how he does it, no range, little or no tone variation or control, but its something that is just right for the music & style. The recording & reproduction is excellent & in some places exceptional.
The releases are a selection of CD packages, high res & vinyl.

But only after I got the OK from George! ![]()
Now I just have to wait for a few weeks for it to arrive from the UK!
(I can't believe I was able to only pay $6.77 shipped for a new copy...)

OK, I'm not following instructions here. This was actually the "first" CD I bought....this morning.
For the "last" CD I bought and all the other ones in between this morning, well, I'm not going to tell ![]()

Casually browsing in a bookstore, these five CDs for around €3 each:

A rather heterogeneous flock. The Paul Simon one is absolutely wonderful. The ELP one hasn't gone to the dustbin yet because of my old love for them.

A bit of a mix here, all very good though -
