Floyd,
I was pondering over this one today at the music store. I'm a big CCR fan and there are not many $15+ CDs to be seen these days so I sampled it on Amazon. Yeah, Fortunate Son sounds good, was it live? Could not believe how much Bob Seger could make a Fogerty song sound like a 1980s Bob Seger song. Is it worth a go?

Rickie Lee Jones - Philadelphia
Recorded live in Philadelphia in December 2000, this set documents a night when everything was perfect. With each song you can feel the energy and love that is being exchanged between Rickie and the audience.

EJ,
Thanks for the heads up.
I found their DG *promo* video and sounds interesting so I've ordered their CD.
Looking forward to listening to it against her older set.
Brahm's music to me is somewhat difficult for me to get but a repeated listening of various iterations might help me to crack this nut.
Trouble with Oistrakh/Richter set is that as good as they are, somehow I got the feeling they are bunch of stiffs and no sense of romance for this sort of program. :/

Mother's Ruin by Max Raptor. Didn't think much of it on first hearing, but after a few plays I'm now totally addicted. I love this band so much I've actually featured them and this album in my next novel that I'm working on called "Sophia", which will be published in January 2014. Oh, I'm an author of fiction
