Hi ken (or others !)

any chance you could describe, step by step, where to "capture" record.CD cover pictures and how to post them on this forum.

I have tried before, but simply can't seem to "copy" the cover pictures. It could be some form of security on my laptop that prevents me accessing appropriate sites, or it could be me just pressing the wrong buttons.

Any help most appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Don

The easiest way that I have found is via the Amazon website which probably has 90% of the artwork of CDs.

So, go to Amazon / music then enter the name of a CD you have purchased.

You will then get the Amazon page relevant to the album.

To get the artwork:

Click on the picture of the album

Double click to get rid of the "AutoRip" interface and bring up a fresh view of album art (no AutoRip showing)

On the album art displayed click and copy "image address"

That should do it for you. It's one of those tasks where you need to know where to go first to get started and what to do after to get started once you have done it,  it"s dead easy.

OK fatcat I see that you have done it far more succinctly than I have and of course included the all important pasting and submission.

fatcat, Stevee S,

Many thanks for your combined efforts which together are quite clear.

However........after finding the album in Amazon and double clicking to get rid of the "auto Rip", I then

Right click the image but....

the only options I am offered include a simple "Copy".

no sign of either "image address" or

"copy image location"

So I have tried the simple "Copy"

When I go back to the Forum and

click "Post Reply"

Click "insert/edit image" (the tree)

Click "Image URL"

.....there is nothing to "Paste" ie the simple "Copy" doesn't work ! (I didn't think it would)

I have managed to "copy" the Amazon image into a folder on my computer and upload that into Flickr

I have then managed to copy and paste the image in Flickr into a Forum Post Reply using the "HTML" input, but the pasted image is about the size of a postage stamp.........

Something is preventing me from capturing the "image address" in Amazon......any ideas ?

As I said above, many thanks for your combined efforts which together are quite clear and should work......but unfortunately, don't !

Cheers

Don

Just asked my son what happens when he right clicks an image on his mac, he said the same thing that happens on my PC.

He thinks the problem's your internet browser, something may be turned off, limiting the functionality of the context menu.

Pose the question in steaming audio, this is way beyond the capability of a music room dweller. The geeks in streaming audio will soon have you sorted.

Many thanks Fatcat.

I normally use Internet Explorer. After your last post I thought I would try Firefox which I use occasionally.

Seems to work.

Cheers
