Bought S/H via Amazon. After many a listen to this on Qobuz it became a "must have." Not so much for the excellent live playing of his solo album "On an Island" (disc 1) which I already had but more for disc 2 where some old Floyd favourites are very well played. The SQ is excellent.

PIcked this one up at the AXPONA show after I got to listen to the same CD a friend bought at the Ma Recording booth.

I am going to explore Haim's favourite pianist Mark-Andre Hamelin.

And a few more recent Pollini.

The Royal Orchestra, Copenhagen [Det Kongelige Kapel] conducted by Otto Klemperer in Beethoven's Leonore III, Mozart Symphony No. 29, and Brahms's Fourth, live from 1954, and Beethoven's Eroica live from 1957.  Two CDs on Testament Records.

Electrifying!

My goodness they blew a few cobwebs out of the rafters with the Eroica! It seems that the Danes were very responsive to Klemperer, and played like they were possessed!

Totally amazing performance in tolerably good mono recording quality. Not perhaps a performance to choose above the EMI studio recordings every time, but certainly one to enjoy on occasion!

I saw this with some trepidation. Old-time JT fan but much of his latter output has been borderline embarassing. So how is it?

Second Mario Tipo disc, since the first one (Clementi) was so good.
