A superb fully formed debut. Bit short (33mins) but no filler. Album of the year?

Getting into Haydn chamber music which I know nothing about.

And a few new soloists playing Bruch's Violin Concerto.

With all the excitement over the new Vinyl mono box set release, I finally took the plunge and ordered the mono cd remasters from 2009 [no longer having vinyl replay], it will be good to have the beatles back in the collection again.

Dan Michaelson + The Coastguards: Distance. His voice is a bit of a challenge at first but after a few listenings this is really hitting the spot. Not a million miles from Bill Callahan's stuff-which is a very good thing indeed.

Merchandise: After The End. Refreshingly uncomplicated vaguely old-fashioned mainstream guitar rock. Pleasing.

Wye Oak: Shriek Caught up with this very late. Career swerve from crunchy guitars to bleeping synths-still some great tunes.
