Godsticks - Emergence, released 4 Sept.

Two S/H Kraftwerk CD singles from 1991, with some great remixes on:
I remain baffled as to why they didn't include the remixes from their singles when they remastered everything for The Catalogue in 2009. One of the group (I forget who) went on record as saying that there weren't any extra tracks or demo versions to include on the re-releases. Well, maybe, but why not include some of these great remixes instead?
Ebay was rather pricey, but I got them both from sellers on Discogs, which seems to work very well.

I had only Volume V of the quartets by The Oxford String Quartet, and decided to go for this box set with 7 CD's. Any recommendations are welcome.
First music from this composer. 10 CD box set.

I could recommend the Tokyo String Quartet with two cycles, or the Alban Berg Quartett or if you need a new juicy version the Belcea Quartet.

Never heard of this composer, do you like the music and if so what does it remind you off ?
This is a great box set, two for Geminiani, two for Vivaldi, one for Albinoni, one for Leo, Fiorenza, Porpora and one for Valentini, these last four not so popular but with delightful pieces.
The small group of players gives a sense of intimacy, the sound is clear and spacious. In sum very pleasant.
Half Man Half Biscuit - Achtung Bono. Quite amusing.
Here we go!!
The Raconteurs, Consolers of the lonely
The Raconteurs, Broken Boys Soldiers

Jack White, Blunderbuss.
Leftfield, Alternative Light Source
Great record. A favourite from my youth. I've not heard it in years. Must track down a copy.
